Once in a Blue Moon, even more rarely a Lunar Eclipse, even more rarely with Moon in Cancer, even more rarely (alright already) a New Year's Eve. Not that every moment isn't special, but this one is particularly special. Times like these beckon us to focus rather than dissipate. This has potential to be a magical evening, and one would be well advised to experience it with a clear head. There are plenty of other evenings to destroy brain cells. Try being present for this one.
Moon was opposite Pluto, square Saturn, and square Juno overnight; and will be sextile Vesta and opposite Venus this morning. The exact New Moon with Moon opposite The Sun is at 11:13 am PST. Really a good day and evening to focus, feel, think, visualize during a rare window of transition.
The Birthcard today is the Joker by most accounts. Like the Number Zero, it is an enigma, including to itself. Henri Matisse, Anthony Hopkins, Ben Kingsley, Andy Summers, Tim Matheson, John Denver, Max Pechstein, Donna Summer, Emile Fabry, and Val Kilmer are all New Year's Eve babies, and therefore share this Birthcard.
Moon finishing up in Gemini was inconjunct Mercury early this morning, and will be square Uranus, then sweep trine the Chiron/Neptune trio, ending at 12:29 pm PST and going Moon Void of Course till 6:45 pm PST. Then, Moon "enters" the constellation of Cancer, her Home. Possibility of writer's block this morning, surprise or surprises with a paradoxical sense of it's ok. The mojo may be somewhat amiss this afternoon, but a variation of feeling of ok should return in the evening.
The Birthcard today is the Ace of Hearts, a Jupiter implementation of a Uranus core, with an Ace of Diamonds inside and a Three of Hearts outside. Tiger Woods, Tracey Ullman, Rudyard Kipling, Patti Smith, Davy Jones, MAtt Lauer, Michael Nesmith, and Bo Diddley all share this Birthcard and Birthday.
Moon in Gemini was trine Saturn and inconjunct Pluto overnight which may explain any stranger than usual dreams. Moon will be inconjunct The Sun, adding a possibility of WTFs. Moon will be trine Lilith Moon early in the day, and there may be a bit of the "total perspective vortex" feeling correlated with the grand trine of Saturn / Moon / Lilith Moon. Our feelings of fate/destiny in perspective and relation with the vast Cosmos may have significance today, even with the unfathomable WTF kinds of questions that often accompany them. The birthcard today is the Two of Hearts, a Venus expression of a Neptune core, paired with the Ace of Clubs. It is one of two pairs of Cards that trade places back and forth within each pair. Also, rare as there is only one day on which this Birthcard occurs. Charles Goodyear, Marianne Faithfull, Jude Law, Pablo Casals, Mary Tyler Moore, Alexa Ray Joel, Ted Danson, Alexandra Kamp, Jon Voight, Paula Poundstone all share this Birthcard.
Moon was trine Mercury and the north node overnight, so if you were awake, it was a good time for writing. Moon finishes up in Taurus this morning, sextile Uranus and sweeping square the Chiron/Neptune/Jupiter trio; then goes Void of Course from 9:54 am PST till 5:13 pm PST whne she "enters" Gemini. Be good to each other today as Venus is nailing the Pluto/Saturn/Juno T-square, and may be overwhelmed or outnumbered. Possibility of the restless Heart, look to unlikely or unusual places to find stability, grounding. The Birthcard of the day is the Three of Hearts, a double Mercury, with an Ace of Hearts inside and a Queen of Clubs outside. Paraphrasing: the heart has reasons that reason does not understand. Woodrow Wilson, Dick Clark, Mark Twain, Earl Hines, Billy Idol, Winston Churchill, William H. Gates, Sr. , Linus Torvalds, Denzel Washington, Edgar Winter, Abbie Hoffman, Ben Stiller, and of course Samuel Clemens are incarnational expressions of this Card, or visa versa.
The Sun is pulling away from the Venus/Pluto conjunction; Moon in Taurus will be square Mars exact at 10:50 pm PST. With the Saturn/Juno opposition T-square the Venus/Pluto conjunction, things are likely still a bit stirred up, particularly around the theme(s) of family for the holidays. Possibility of irritation later in the day; regardless, there is likely an underlying feeling, or reference of a stable Heart and Home.
A repeat reminder of "thou are not that" is in order as we continue Mars retrograde and enter the second day of Mercury retrograde.Yes, it is absolutely boggling when one gets the picture of how much there seem to be scripts behind or under most individual and collective behavior; and yes, these scripts seem so lifelike. The collective "we" take our patterning, our drama, our stuff quite seriously. And yet...while it can be, and often is a challenge to swim against the stream, it is the opinion of this blogger that we are not "swimming" with or against cosmic influences or forces. They are more akin to cosmic correlations. The unseen currents of flow and flavor that correlate with Planetary (and other deterministic) Archetypal cycles are more likely collective belief systems (both conscious, and largely unconscious) in the Astral Fog. An analogy is that the wagon does not just follow the road, but also makes the road by adding a bit more of a rut when traveling, especially on the proverbial road more traveled. Rupert Sheldrake described a similar phenomena as "ruttles", as each event happens it shapes or strengthens the underlying form which contributes to shaping the experience of the next event, and so on and so on. Another story is that we, as human becomings actually have more influence over our choices than external circumstances would seem to indicate, it's just that most of us forgot. Ironically, many who study Deterministic Archetypal Languages (like Astrology, and the fringe of the fringe, Birthcards) fall into the trap of believing what they are seeing is "it"; rather than "seeing through" to deeper realities. When we are attending a well written, produced, and performed play we can forget who we are at the moment, lose ourselves in the story; and we are likely touched and influenced by the characters and story. Yet, we are not that story. So, action does not completely stop during Mars retrograde, communication does not completely shut down during Mercury Retrograde. The beach does not cease to exist during riptide conditions. Yes things can get more squidgy than usual, but with awareness, is it possible for us, one at a time, to awaken just a bit more, enjoy the beauty of the beach, and walk where the riptide is not, even though our fellow humans (for whom we as humans have compassion) are struggling in the water, unaware of tide charts that we checked beforehand?Today's Birthcard is the Four of Hearts, a Neptune implementation of a Mercury core, with a Four of Spades inside and a Ten of Spades outside. Jacques Chirac, Petra Kelley, Chiang Kai-Shek, Alex Grey, Johannes Kepler, Julie Dreyfus, Louis Pasteur, Joel Coen, Dan Rather, Diane Ladd, Howie Mandel, John Candy, Marlene Dietrich, and John Keats are various incarnations expressing through this Card whether they know/knew it or not.
For the first day of Mercury Retrograde, Moon starts off Boxing Day Void of Course, then "enters" Taurus at 12:26 pm PST. Moon will make a grand trine with Vesta and the Venus/Pluto/Sun trio. Moon will also be inconjunct Saturn. Probably a bit topsy turvy, off to a slow, low mojo start, then another day that should feel good, but may be frustrated. Remember the sage advice from Douglas Adams: Don't Panic.
Today's Birthcard is the Five of Hearts, a Saturn implementation of a Venus core, with a Four of Diamonds inside and a Five of Clubs outside. John Adams, Jon Stewart, Randy Newman, Anna Nicole Smith, Henry Wrinkler, Mao Tse Toung, Phil Spector, Grace Slick, Gary Hart, Charles Atlas, Gato Barbieri, William Blake, Frederich Engels, Steve Allen, John Scofield, and Kitty Dukakis are incarnational expressions of this Card.
For Christmas day, Moon in Aries will be trine Mars exact at 5:00 pm PST, square Mercury exact at 9:16 pm PST, and square the north/south nodes. We may feel a frustration that things could and should be easy, but are stymied by a subtle (or not so subtle) edge.
The Birthcard of the day is the Six of Hearts, a double Mars, with a a Four of Clubs inside and a Three of Diamonds outside. Various incarnations expressing this Card are Cab Calloway, Richard Dreyfuss, Winona Ryder, Rod Serling, Helena Christensen, Henry Winkler, Robin Givens, Bruce Lee, Sissy Spacek, Humphrey Bogart, Isaac Newton, Jimi Hendrix, Kate Jackson, Conrad Hilton, Noel Redding, Annie Lenox, and spectacular examples of the shadow side of this Archetype: Joseph Goebbels, Karl Rove.
Moon in Aries was briefly Void overnight, will be Conjunct Juno exact at 6:51 am PST, square Pluto and The Sun exact at 9:35 am PST, then opposite Saturn exact at noon PST, and will be inconjunct Vesta in the afternoon. Basically, Moon is lighting up the Venus/Pluto/Sun T-square of the Juno/Saturn opposition. Taboos, repression, upheavals, WTFs --- all in just in time for family gatherings. With Mercury inconjunct Mars, both essentially in retrograde, selling, sales may not have footing. But we want beauty, harmony, aesthetics today.
The Birthcard of the day is Seven of Hearts, a Venus expression of a Mercury core, with an Eight of Hearts inside and an Ace of Spades outside. Varied incarnations of this card include Julia Roberts, Randy Newman, Ben Harper, Angie Dickinson, Shakti Gawain, Francis Bacon, Cleo Laine, Basia, Jonas Salk, Rich Little, Fran Drescher, Truman Capote, Daphne Zuniga, Hamid Karzai, Tina Turner, Johnny Mathis, Rael, Howard Hughes, Charles Schulz, Ava Gardner, Bill Gates, and rumor has it Rumi and Erasmus.
Moon in Pisces will be sextile Mercury exact at 10:06 am PST and conjunct Uranus exact at 1:43 pm PST. Mercury is also conjunct the north node. This is likely a good time for writing/journaling, except that Mercury and Mars are both "rocking" in a retrograde inconjunct cradle. Mercury / north node and Moon/Uranus are both inconjunct Mars; and making a YOD with Mars, so emphasis is likely on movement, doing something, go-juice. Whether or not that "do something" actually does anything except spin wheels is another question. This would be one of those "mixed messages" times. Challenging, but what you make of it. We are also into the stiction days prior to the official start of the dreaded Mercury Retrograde, which is Dec 26th, just in time for returns and exchanges. Keep those receipts in case you need to micromanage. Or better yet, be creative rather than comsumptive.
The Birthcard of the day is the emotionally powerful Eight of Hearts, a Neptune implementation of a Jupiter core, with a Seven of Spades inside and a Seven of Hearts outside. Various examples of expression of this Birthcard are Theodore Roosevelt, Susan Lucci, Robert Bly, JFK Jr, Richard Gere, Christina Applegate, Joe DiMaggio, Madeline Kahn, Itzhak Perlman, Harry Shearer, and the one and only John Cleese.
Moon in Pisces will be opposite Vesta in the early morning, and will coast through the rest of the day. The theme of universal love may ring true today, although hard transits, Venus/Sun/Pluto T-square Saturn opposite Juno are still with us, there may be an almost aching longing for connection which can be best reached by letting go and "surrendering".The Birthcard of today is the Nine of Hearts, a double Saturn with a "veiled" double Venus. Evo Morales, Brigitte Bardot, Ed Sullivan, Warren Buffett, Gwyneth Paltrow, Bootsy Collins, Hillary Clinton, Dale Carnigie, Cameron Diaz, Ismael Lo, Ernest Rutherford, Mira Sorvino, Jaclyn Smith, Leon Trotsky, Lady Bird Johnson, Moon Zappa, Scott Joplin, Puccini, and Seymour Cray are different examples of incarnations expressing through this Birthcard.
Solstice Greetings to all. As the late, great Benny Hill once said: "The Knights are getting shorter." Moon starts out the day Void of Course, so forget that power lunch today. She "enters" Pisces at 3:42 pm PST, and will be sextile The Sun exact at 4:16 pm PST, sextile Pluto exact at 9:41 pm PST, and oppposite Vesta in the middle of the night. Moon will also be inconjunct Saturn, more WTF possible. Although a strong possibility of a case of the "Mondays" this morning, things will likely pick up later in the day, as we have passed the stillpoint of Solstice, and the potential will begin actualizing as the "momentum" continues. We are headed for another intense set of transits: Juno opposite Saturn, both T-squared by Pluto, and joined by The Sun and Venus for a short while. Just in time for the holidays, likely to correlate with family/home/relationship themes bubbling up to be either looked at, or politely ignored. Your call, but it is suggested that avoidance, even in the name of political correctness, or preserving the peace, or not rocking the boat, is not always a good long term strategy.
Today's Birthcard is the Ten of Hearts, a Jupiter implementation of a Mars core, with a Jack of Clubs inside and a Five of Spades outside. Jane Fonda, Picasso, Avril Lavigne, Frank Zappa, Helen Reddy, Harpo Marx, Pablo Picasso, Richard Byrd, Madame Davia, Wesley Snipes, Dinah Washington, J. K. Rowling, Boris Karloff, Gwyneth Paltrow, Charlie Parker, Ingrid Bergman, Sai Baba, Michael Jackson, and Phil Donahue are various examples of expression of this Card.
Moon in Aquarius will be opposite Mars exact at 6:44 pm PST. Are we at all annoyed? Mars went retrograde this morning (from our perspective that is, from Mars's perspective, Mars is just doing what Mars always does: orbiting The Sun). Juno has "entered" Aries, opposite Saturn. Moon will be sweeping conjunct the Chiron/Jupiter/Neptune trio late tonight into tomorrow early morning. Just to add to the fun, Mercury, although near the north node, is inconjunct Mars. There may be some WTF in the air. The Sun is conjunct Pluto for the next week or so, look for deep inquiries; explosive and possibly "dark" passions. With Venus approaching Pluto, the possibility of taboos or exotic "events" is enhanced, so to speak. With Juno opposite Saturn, relationship(s) may seem heavy at times, yet they are an excellent place to learn, if one stays with it rather than chasing off after forbidden fruit or other distractions. Overall, even with bouts of irritation, good intentions are likely today, possibly a bit rigid, but well meaning.
The Birthcard today is the Jack of Hearts, a Venus expression of a Jupiter core, a source card with the same inside and outside, all JH all the time. Ivan Pavlov, Charles De Gaulle, Lisa Kudrow, Ahnold the Governator, Henry Ford, Olivia Newton John, David Sanborn, T.S. Elliot, Terry Gilliam, Uri Geller, Kevin Kline, Jamie Lee Curtis, George Gershwin, and rumor has it, Goethe, are various expressions of this Card.
Moon in Aquarius will be trine Saturn exact at 10:58 am PST and also inconjunct Vesta. Venus has moved to square Uranus, and is beginning a sweep sextile of the Chiron/Jupiter/Neptune trio. With Venus still in the orb of trine Mars, and Mars inconjunct Uranus while at the edge of opposite the trio, likely that something from childhood is calling for attention; and that attention is best nurtured as only the feminine can, relationally. Pay attention to the Goddess, usually good advice, but today in particular: what do Gaia, Sophia, Diana, Inanna have to say, and where might you listen to them? The Birthcard today is the Queen of Hearts, a double Neptune with a Ten of Spades inside and a Nine of Clubs outside. Lyndon Johnson, Jennifer Beals, Goldie Hawn, Rene Magritte, Anita Roddick, Christopher Reeve, Edith Piaf, Barbara Walters, Johnny Carson, Will Smith, Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and rumor has it, Voltaire, all share this Birthcard.
Moon finishes up in Capricorn today, sextile Uranus around noon PST, and sextile Juno much later in the middle of the night. The common, popular beliefs have Moon going Void of Course at noon PST today; however as Moon will aspect Juno much later, it's anybody's guess. Pay attention to how you feel, when does the usual sensation of lacking mojo during Moon Void of Course "kick in " for you if at all? Regardless, innovation, new ideas are possible today, if you do have one, go for it. Enjoy the remainder of the Venus trine Mars aspect. As we enter an extended "Heart Card" phase which happens at the end of each year it is likely that any feelings or emotions will be powerful.A reminder of "thou are not that" is in order as we approach Mercury and Mars retrograde.Yes, it is absolutely boggling when one gets the picture of how much there seem to be scripts behind or under most individual and collective behavior; and yes, these scripts seem so lifelike. The collective "we" take our patterning, our drama, our stuff quite seriously. And yet...while it can be, and often is a challenge to swim against the stream, it is the opinion of this blogger that we are not "swimming" with or against cosmic influences or forces. This is the Birthcard of Brad Pitt, Christina Aguilera, Joe Biden, Steven Spielberg, Betty Grable, Dick Smothers, Robert Byrd, Beatrix Potter, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Timothy Leary, Lee de Forest, Geraldine Ferraro, Jim Henson, Annette Funicello, Bobby Kennedy, Lena Horne, Stuart Wilde, Franz Liszt, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Linda Eastman McCartney, and rumor has it, Martin Luther.
Moon in Capricorn meanders today, and ends up conjunct Mercury close to midnight PST. Watch the emotions today, possible blurring as feelings may feel like facts. Self knowledge, or knowledge of self may be of particular importance. Venus is trine Mars, so boy/girl (or other permutations) stuff may take center stage, even with the curtains pulled. Fortunately, nobody counts down the shopping days 'till Solstice.
The Birthcard today is the Ace of Clubs, a Mercury expression of a Venus core, paired with the Two of Hearts. It is one of two pairs of Cards that trade places back and forth within each pair. Various incarnational expressions of this Card are Arthur Fiedler, Kenny Werner, Calvin Klein, Alfred Nobel, Jodie Foster, James Garfield, Sean Connery, Slim Pickens, Jack Welch, John Coltrane, Claudia Schiffer, Indira Gandhi, Ray Charles, Dick Cavett, Meg Ryan, and rumor has it Augustus Caesar. Ironically, the character played by Jodie Foster in the Movie "Contact", Ellie Harroway, had this same Birthcard (a different Birthday, but the same Birthcard). The Archetypes have their ways, it seems.
Moon was New Moon overnight, and starts off the day Void of Course. She "enters" Capricorn at 2:32 pm PST, will be conjunct Pluto exact at 8:00 pm PST and square Saturn exact at 10:24 pm PST. Hope you had fun yesterday, as the morning has potential to feel rather squidgy, maybe a bit off in an isolating, pressuring way, giving way to more direct sensations of isolation, pressure, upheaval later in the afternoon. Of course, the Venus/Mars trine may correlate with some harmony to balance out the prior. Relationships, partnering are likely at center stage today.
The Birthcard today is the Two of Clubs, a Uranus implementation of a Saturn core, with an Ace of Spades inside and a King of Hearts outside. Aldous Huxley, Arthur C. Clarke, Mel Brooks, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Gilda Radner, Ashley Montagu, Tom Petty, Sandra Bullock, Aldous Huxley, Carl Jung, Alan Sheppard, Bela Lugosi, Margaret Mead, Stanley Kubrick, Wynonna Judd, Benny Goodman, Jane Austen, Mick Jagger, and Segolene Royal all share this Birthcard.
Moon in Sagittarius will be conjunct Venus exact at 2:17 pm PST and trine Mars exact at 6:04 pm PST, which reminds us of the Venus/Mars trine. There is likely a three letter word in the air today, in expression of the sensate. However (there's almost always a however) south node is getting some focus in the form of a YOD pattern by Sun/Moon and Neptune/Jupiter/Chiron. The final wind-down towards New Moon may have a bit of a yin, lowish mojo feel, but with a possibility of a restless urge in the air today, one must eventually decide. Maybe tomorrow. The Birthcard today is the Three of Clubs, a Saturn implementation of a Mars core, with a Five of Diamonds inside and a King of Diamonds outside. Recognizable names of incarnations expressing through this Birthcard include Freeman Dyson, J. Paul Getty, Auguste Lumiere, Helen Keller, Rock Hudson, Bob Hope, John Adams, Howard Dean, JFK, Martin
Moon, now in Sagittarius will be sextile Saturn, exact just before noon PST. Sun is square Uranus, pulling away from trine Mars and sweeping sextile the Chiron/Jupiter/Neptune trio. Likely a good day for thinking of new ideas, which may almost "have" to be embraced. Now is the time to "get" childhood stuff, do your depth work (and play) as Jupiter will begin to separate from the long standing trio in the next couple of months.
The Birthcard today is the Four of Clubs, a Mars expression of a Jupiter core, with a Five of Clubs inside and a Six of Hearts outside. Examples of this Birthcard include Spike Jones, Claude Debussy, Pearl Buck, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Pierre Trudeau, Amelia Earhart, Karl Gauss, Werner Von Braun, Sophia Loren, George C. Scott, Tori Amos, Ray Bradbury, Ian Flemming, John-David, Bella Abzug, Upton Sinclair, Thomas Moore, and rumor has it, Nostradamus.
Moon in Scorpio will be square Mars in the morning, trine Uranus later in the day, and will sweep square the Chiron/Jupiter/Neptune trio by evening. The traditional way of looking at things puts Moon Void of Course starting at 5:18 pm PST, but there will be a final Moon trine Juno at around midnite PST. Notice when the mojo fades out, or when things feel squidgy for you tonight. Possible sensations of annoyance, but with surprising ease of change or innovation today. Possibility of restlessness, curiosity of things, wanting to know.
The Birthcard of the day is the Five of Clubs, a Mercury expression of a Saturn core, with a Five of Hearts inside and a Four of Clubs outside. Hubert Humphrey, Rene Descartes, Rachel Carson, Andrew Carnegie, Cesar Chavez, George Orwell, Beverly D'Angelo, Rita Hayworth, Princess Margaret, Ziggy Marley, Twiggy, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Christopher Dodd, Herb Alpert, Petula Clark, Dick Van Dyke, Arthur Miller, Kim Cattrall, Evel Knievel, Wilt Chamberlain, Kenny Rogers, Al Gore, and rumor has it, Descartes, are incarnational examples of the 5C.
How were your dreams last night? Moon in Scorpio was sextile Pluto and Mercury overnight. Depth, then articulation. Elsewhere in the sky, the Saturn/Pluto square of upheaval remains, as does the Chiron/Jupiter/Neptune trio. Although it may be tempting to "force fit" rather than allow today, it would be good to take the higher, deeper path of intuition; rather than stick to the illusionary structure the familiar "law and order" or dogmatic mindset. The Birthcard today is the Six of Clubs, a Neptune implementation of a Saturn core, with an Eight of Spades inside and a Two of Diamonds outside. Benjamon Harrison, James Monroe, Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Yanni, Condoleezza Rice, Aaron Copeland, John Wayne, Rose Kennedy, Tim Robbins, Ann-Margret, Ambrose Bierce, Connie Francis, Dionne Warwick, Jessica Alba, Lady Montagu, Ron Paul, Angela Lansbury, Greta Garbo, Hunter S. Thompson, Noah Webster, Norman Cousins, Warren Beatty, Frank Sinatra, and John Glenn are various incarnations expressing through this Birthcard.
Moon finishes up in Libra sweeping trine the Chiron/Jupiter/Neptune trio this morning, also inconjunct Uranus and Juno. She will be Moon Void of Course from 9:45 am PST till 8:31 pm PST when she "enters" Scorpio. Might be a bit dramatic to write the day off, but, it would be a good day to let go of expectations. Possibility of some WTFs, not much mojo till late evening. Possible visit from the melancholy, but innovative genius today.
Today's Birthcard is the Seven of Clubs, a Saturn implementation of a Uranus core, with an Eight of Diamonds inside and a Jack of Spades outside. Bill Clinton, Ulysses Grant, John Tyler, Eugene McCarthy, Oscar Wilde, Whoopi Goldberg, Orville Wright, Igor Sikorsky, Keith O. Johnson, Alfred Kinsey, Louis Berlioz, Friedrich Nietzsche, Sam Walton, Samuel Morse, Fiorello La Guardia, Ernest Hemingway, Cassandra Peterson (Elvira), Robert Louis Stevenson, Ogden Nash, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Anne Bancroft, and Robin Williams all share this Birthcard.
Moon in Libra was square Mercury overnight, and will be sextile Venus this morning. Any restless dreams? With Mars trine The Sun, there may be a bit of a flirty, playful vibe in the air as both Venus and Mars are happy for the moment. Contrasting that, themes of power, of and over knowledge may also be in the air today.
The Birthcard today is the powerful Eight of Clubs, a Mars expression of a Neptune core, one of the three source cards that is the same inside as outside, WYSIWYG. Dwight Eisenhower, Larry Craig, Thomas Dolby, Priscilla Presley, Edmund Muskie, Carol Burnett, Edith Randall, Auguste Rodin, Edmund Hillary, Natalie Wood, Hank Paulson, Timothy Geithner, Austan Goolsbee, Simon Pierre Laplace, Eugène Delacroix, Lauren Bacall, Princess Grace, Roger Moore, John Audobon, Emily Dickenson, Bob Dylan, Gary Wright, Kris Kristofferson, Robert Redford, Meryl Streep, and rumor has it, Maxim Gorky are various incarnations expressing through this Birthcard.
Moon starts off the day Void of Course giving a second case of the Mondays this week. Even lunch may be lacking mojo, after which Moon "enters" Libra in search of balance at 2:47 pm PST. Then Moon gives a kick to the Pluto/Saturn square of upheaval, square Pluto exact at 7:13 pm PST and conjunct Saturn exact at 9:07 pm PST. Possibly a bit of an artsy, sensual vibe likely in the air today, with the caveat that creativity spurred by pain is often quite beautiful, just not fun to be the artist of such. The Birthcard today is the 9 of Clubs, a Venus expression of a Saturn core with a Queen of Hearts inside and a 6 of Diamonds outside. 9Cs include William Howard Taft, Ken Wilber whether he likes it or not, Tony Robbins, George McGovern, Gloria Swanson, George Patton, Redd Foxx, Joan Collins, Vikki Carr, Albert King, Samuel Goldwyn, Zane Grey, Edward Murrow, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Lindz Lawlor, Valerie Innes, Mae West, Artie Shaw, Jonathan Winters, Jane Russell, Kirk Douglas, Kurt Vonnegut, Al Pacino, Quentin Tarantino, Guglielmo Marconi, Fyodor Dostoevsky, and Jean-Paul Sartre.
Moon in Virgo was square Venus overnight, and will be sqaure The Sun this afternoon. Possibility of things becoming unstuck, or moving again after a pause. Today, do be aware of the fine line between wanting to know it all, and being the know it all who may or may not.The Birthcard today is the 10 of Clubs, a Solar expression of a Mars core and some flexibility to experience a Venus or Mercury core with a Jack of Spades inside and a 4 of Spades outside. 10Cs include Franklin D. Roosevelt, Robert Frost, Phil Collins, Jack Abramoff, Paul Krugman, John Glenn, Linus Pauling, Steven Chu, Diego Rivera, Nelson Mandela, Dick Gregory, Ivan Pavlov, Leonard Nimoy, Flip Wilson, Eydie Gorme, Sammy Davis Jr. , Richard Dawkins, Red Skelton, Zero Mostel, Erica Jong, Diana Ross, Barbra Streisand, Joseph Campbell, Shirley MacLaine, Dick Cheney as a representative of the dark side of the force, and rumor has it, Martin Luther.
How were your dreams last night? Paging Dr. Freud: Moon was opposite Neptune and Mercury was conjunct Pluto. Moon starts off the day Void of Course, it is indeed a case of the Mondays on Monday. Any extra coffee that had no effect in the morning may kick in around lunch. Moon "enters" Virgo at 11:05 am PST, and (with a little help from Mercury) will be lighting up the Pluto/Saturn square somewhat harmoniously, trine Pluto exact at 3:13 pm PST and trine Mercury exact at 4:47 pm PST. Communication and articulation of something involving deep upheavals, challenges to the status quo may be in the air. The trickster may pay a visit --- think fast. Regarding similar themes: Moon "lights up" the other heavenly bodies with either hard or soft aspects almost daily, and these correlate with various scenarios playing out. Over and over and over. Pick you delusion, or notice the script being played out and "use" that as an entry point or stepping stone beyond the collective delusion. The Birthcard today is the Jack of Clubs, a Uranus expression of a Venus core, with a Jack of Diamonds inside and a 10 of Hearts outside. JCs include James Buchanan, William McKinley, Thomas Paine, Rahm Emanuel, Julia Child, Spiro Agnew, Walter Reed, Art Linkletter, Ralph Nader, John Steinbeck, Napoleon Bonaparte, Oprah, Susie Bright, Gloria Steinem, Eleanor Roosevelt, Max Planck, Rudolph Steiner, Sergei Prokofieff, Raymond Burr, Lou Gerhig, Howard Cosell, Jim Fixx, Phyllis Diller, Fats Waller, Guy Lombardo, Mel Torme, Aretha Franklin, Shirley Temple, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and Paula Abdul, whether they know it or not.
Moon in Leo will be trine The Sun exact at 9:28 am PST, conjunct Mars exact at 3:51 pm PST, and begins a sweep opposite the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio in the evening. Likely less of an edge than would be expected from a Moon/Mars conjunction, as there is the trine with The Sun as part of the equation. Good day for getting things started and if they are already started, getting them done. Sun will be in the orb of trine Mars for the next week or so, so roll up your sleeves and go for it. Today, there may be a nudge to pursue dreams, take that brave and scary step towards what could be called destiny. Pay attention to intuition, somewhere in the midst of any emotional turmoil today. The Birthcard today is the Queen of Clubs, a Mercury expression of a Mars core, with a 3 of Hearts inside and a 10 of Diamonds outside. QCs include Michael Bolton, Ira Gershwin, Andrew Mellon, Robert Novak, Nikolai Lenin, H. L. Mencken, Immanual Kant, Arthur Laffer, Jack Nicholson, Jesse Owens, Will Ferrell, Ginger Rogers, Dave Brubeck, Minnie Ripperton, James Stewart, Aaron Spelling, Cher, Nicolas Sarkozy, Charles Mingus, Jonhhy Cash, Jackie Gleason, Alan Alda, Paul McCartney, and rumor has it, Socrates.
Moon starts off the day Void of Course and "enters" Leo at 9:07 am PST. Moon will be inconjunct the Pluto/Mercury pair, sextile Saturn exact at 2:36 pm PST, and trine Venus exact at 5:43 pm PST. The day will probably improve as the days goes by, possibly deliciously so by evening. Whether innovation or surprises, possibility of something new today, but oddly, somehow familiar if we look deeply at it. Mars will be teasing, almost opposite the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio in the next week or so, correlating with movement, action in the realms of childhood dreams and ideals. Juno is pulling away from conjunct Uranus, so there will be more distinct sensations associated with each as the Moon aspects them individually. Uranus is the innovator, and in some schools of thought, Juno is the higher octave of Venus, correlating with long term relations; those beyond the initial Eros of attraction.
The Birthcard today is the King of Clubs, a double Uranus with a 2 of Spades inside and an 8 of Spades outside. KCs include Keith Olbermann, Martin Van Buren, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Leon Trotsky, John Lennon, George Harrison, Marie Curie, Chaka Khan, John Muir, Erich Fromm, Pierre Simon Laplace, Hedy Lamarr, Ric Ocasek, Walt Disney, Barry Manilow, Arianna Huffington, Enrico Caruso, Alfred Hitchcock, Queen Elizabeth the Second, Gary Stadler, Igor Stravinsky, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Jesse Ventura, General Custer, Billy Graham, James "J Bob Dobbs" Dobson, and rumor has it, Rembrandt.
Moon, at home in the Constellation of Cancer meanders, then later in the day sweeps inconjunct the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio, while being trine Uranus and Juno and conjunct the south node. Sometime between 9 pm and midnight PST (depending on which school of though one aligns with) tshe goes Moon Void of Course till tomorrow morning. With Venus sextile Saturn, the Moon trine may point towards "grounding" through connections, relations if things seem a bit WTF. A strong will, self identity is a good thing, but be aware of the lure of shiny things today.
