Dec 31 2009 Full Moon, Blue Moon, Lunar Eclipse, NYE

Once in a Blue Moon, even more rarely a Lunar Eclipse, even more rarely with Moon in Cancer, even more rarely (alright already) a New Year's Eve. Not that every moment isn't special, but this one is particularly special. Times like these beckon us to focus rather than dissipate. This has potential to be a magical evening, and one would be well advised to experience it with a clear head. There are plenty of other evenings to destroy brain cells. Try being present for this one.

Moon was opposite Pluto, square Saturn, and square Juno overnight; and will be sextile Vesta and opposite Venus this morning. The exact New Moon with Moon opposite The Sun is at 11:13 am PST. Really a good day and evening to focus, feel, think, visualize during a rare window of transition.

The Birthcard today is the Joker by most accounts. Like the Number Zero, it is an enigma, including to itself. Henri Matisse, Anthony Hopkins, Ben Kingsley, Andy Summers, Tim Matheson, John Denver, Max Pechstein, Donna Summer, Emile Fabry, and Val Kilmer are all New Year's Eve babies, and therefore share this Birthcard.

Dec 30 2009

Moon finishing up in Gemini was inconjunct Mercury early this morning, and will be square Uranus, then sweep trine the Chiron/Neptune trio, ending at 12:29 pm PST and going Moon Void of Course till 6:45 pm PST. Then, Moon "enters" the constellation of Cancer, her Home. Possibility of writer's block this morning, surprise or surprises with a paradoxical sense of it's ok. The mojo may be somewhat amiss this afternoon, but a variation of feeling of ok should return in the evening.

The Birthcard today is the Ace of Hearts, a Jupiter implementation of a Uranus core, with an Ace of Diamonds inside and a Three of Hearts outside. Tiger Woods, Tracey Ullman, Rudyard Kipling, Patti Smith, Davy Jones, MAtt Lauer, Michael Nesmith, and Bo Diddley all share this Birthcard and Birthday.

Dec 29 2009

Moon in Gemini was trine Saturn and inconjunct Pluto overnight which may explain any stranger than usual dreams. Moon will be inconjunct The Sun, adding a possibility of WTFs. Moon will be trine Lilith Moon early in the day, and there may be a bit of the "total perspective vortex" feeling correlated with the grand trine of Saturn / Moon / Lilith Moon. Our feelings of fate/destiny in perspective and relation with the vast Cosmos may have significance today, even with the unfathomable WTF kinds of questions that often accompany them.

The birthcard today is the Two of Hearts, a Venus expression of a Neptune core, paired with the Ace of Clubs. It is one of two pairs of Cards that trade places back and forth within each pair. Also, rare as there is only one day on which this Birthcard occurs. Charles Goodyear, Marianne Faithfull, Jude Law, Pablo Casals, Mary Tyler Moore, Alexa Ray Joel, Ted Danson, Alexandra Kamp, Jon Voight, Paula Poundstone all share this Birthcard.

Dec 28 2009

Moon was trine Mercury and the north node overnight, so if you were awake, it was a good time for writing. Moon finishes up in Taurus this morning, sextile Uranus and sweeping square the Chiron/Neptune/Jupiter trio; then goes Void of Course from 9:54 am PST till 5:13 pm PST whne she "enters" Gemini. Be good to each other today as Venus is nailing the Pluto/Saturn/Juno T-square, and may be overwhelmed or outnumbered. Possibility of the restless Heart, look to unlikely or unusual places to find stability, grounding.

The Birthcard of the day is the Three of Hearts, a double Mercury, with an Ace of Hearts inside and a Queen of Clubs outside. Paraphrasing: the heart has reasons that reason does not understand. Woodrow Wilson, Dick Clark, Mark Twain, Earl Hines, Billy Idol, Winston Churchill, William H. Gates, Sr. , Linus Torvalds, Denzel Washington, Edgar Winter, Abbie Hoffman, Ben Stiller, and of course Samuel Clemens are incarnational expressions of this Card, or visa versa.

Dec 27 2009

The Sun is pulling away from the Venus/Pluto conjunction; Moon in Taurus will be square Mars exact at 10:50 pm PST. With the Saturn/Juno opposition T-square the Venus/Pluto conjunction, things are likely still a bit stirred up, particularly around the theme(s) of family for the holidays. Possibility of irritation later in the day; regardless, there is likely an underlying feeling, or reference of a stable Heart and Home.

A repeat reminder of "thou are not that" is in order as we continue Mars retrograde and enter the second day of Mercury retrograde.

Yes, it is absolutely boggling when one gets the picture of how much there seem to be scripts behind or under most individual and collective behavior; and yes, these scripts seem so lifelike. The collective "we" take our patterning, our drama, our stuff quite seriously. And yet...while it can be, and often is a challenge to swim against the stream, it is the opinion of this blogger that we are not "swimming" with or against cosmic influences or forces. They are more akin to cosmic correlations. The unseen currents of flow and flavor that correlate with Planetary (and other deterministic) Archetypal cycles are more likely collective belief systems (both conscious, and largely unconscious) in the Astral Fog. An analogy is that the wagon does not just follow the road, but also makes the road by adding a bit more of a rut when traveling, especially on the proverbial road more traveled. Rupert Sheldrake described a similar phenomena as "ruttles", as each event happens it shapes or strengthens the underlying form which contributes to shaping the experience of the next event, and so on and so on. Another story is that we, as human becomings actually have more influence over our choices than external circumstances would seem to indicate, it's just that most of us forgot. Ironically, many who study Deterministic Archetypal Languages (like Astrology, and the fringe of the fringe, Birthcards) fall into the trap of believing what they are seeing is "it"; rather than "seeing through" to deeper realities. When we are attending a well written, produced, and performed play we can forget who we are at the moment, lose ourselves in the story; and we are likely touched and influenced by the characters and story. Yet, we are not that story.

So, action does not completely stop during Mars retrograde, communication does not completely shut down during Mercury Retrograde. The beach does not cease to exist during riptide conditions. Yes things can get more squidgy than usual, but with awareness, is it possible for us, one at a time, to awaken just a bit more, enjoy the beauty of the beach, and walk where the riptide is not, even though our fellow humans (for whom we as humans have compassion) are struggling in the water, unaware of tide charts that we checked beforehand?

Today's Birthcard is the Four of Hearts, a Neptune implementation of a Mercury core, with a Four of Spades inside and a Ten of Spades outside. Jacques Chirac, Petra Kelley, Chiang Kai-Shek, Alex Grey, Johannes Kepler, Julie Dreyfus, Louis Pasteur, Joel Coen, Dan Rather, Diane Ladd, Howie Mandel, John Candy, Marlene Dietrich, and John Keats are various incarnations expressing through this Card whether they know/knew it or not.

Dec 26 2009

For the first day of Mercury Retrograde, Moon starts off Boxing Day Void of Course, then "enters" Taurus at 12:26 pm PST. Moon will make a grand trine with Vesta and the Venus/Pluto/Sun trio. Moon will also be inconjunct Saturn. Probably a bit topsy turvy, off to a slow, low mojo start, then another day that should feel good, but may be frustrated. Remember the sage advice from Douglas Adams: Don't Panic.

Today's Birthcard is the Five of Hearts, a Saturn implementation of a Venus core, with a Four of Diamonds inside and a Five of Clubs outside. John Adams, Jon Stewart, Randy Newman, Anna Nicole Smith, Henry Wrinkler, Mao Tse Toung, Phil Spector, Grace Slick, Gary Hart, Charles Atlas, Gato Barbieri, William Blake, Frederich Engels, Steve Allen, John Scofield, and Kitty Dukakis are incarnational expressions of this Card.

Dec 25 2009

For Christmas day, Moon in Aries will be trine Mars exact at 5:00 pm PST, square Mercury exact at 9:16 pm PST, and square the north/south nodes. We may feel a frustration that things could and should be easy, but are stymied by a subtle (or not so subtle) edge.

The Birthcard of the day is the Six of Hearts, a double Mars, with a a Four of Clubs inside and a Three of Diamonds outside. Various incarnations expressing this Card are Cab Calloway, Richard Dreyfuss, Winona Ryder, Rod Serling, Helena Christensen, Henry Winkler, Robin Givens, Bruce Lee, Sissy Spacek, Humphrey Bogart, Isaac Newton, Jimi Hendrix, Kate Jackson, Conrad Hilton, Noel Redding, Annie Lenox, and spectacular examples of the shadow side of this Archetype: Joseph Goebbels, Karl Rove.

Dec 24 2009 First Quarter

Moon in Aries was briefly Void overnight, will be Conjunct Juno exact at 6:51 am PST, square Pluto and The Sun exact at 9:35 am PST, then opposite Saturn exact at noon PST, and will be inconjunct Vesta in the afternoon. Basically, Moon is lighting up the Venus/Pluto/Sun T-square of the Juno/Saturn opposition. Taboos, repression, upheavals, WTFs --- all in just in time for family gatherings. With Mercury inconjunct Mars, both essentially in retrograde, selling, sales may not have footing. But we want beauty, harmony, aesthetics today.

The Birthcard of the day is Seven of Hearts, a Venus expression of a Mercury core, with an Eight of Hearts inside and an Ace of Spades outside. Varied incarnations of this card include Julia Roberts, Randy Newman, Ben Harper, Angie Dickinson, Shakti Gawain, Francis Bacon, Cleo Laine, Basia, Jonas Salk, Rich Little, Fran Drescher, Truman Capote, Daphne Zuniga, Hamid Karzai, Tina Turner, Johnny Mathis, Rael, Howard Hughes, Charles Schulz, Ava Gardner, Bill Gates, and rumor has it Rumi and Erasmus.

Dec 23 2009

Moon in Pisces will be sextile Mercury exact at 10:06 am PST and conjunct Uranus exact at 1:43 pm PST. Mercury is also conjunct the north node. This is likely a good time for writing/journaling, except that Mercury and Mars are both "rocking" in a retrograde inconjunct cradle. Mercury / north node and Moon/Uranus are both inconjunct Mars; and making a YOD with Mars, so emphasis is likely on movement, doing something, go-juice. Whether or not that "do something" actually does anything except spin wheels is another question. This would be one of those "mixed messages" times. Challenging, but what you make of it. We are also into the stiction days prior to the official start of the dreaded Mercury Retrograde, which is Dec 26th, just in time for returns and exchanges. Keep those receipts in case you need to micromanage. Or better yet, be creative rather than comsumptive.

The Birthcard of the day is the emotionally powerful Eight of Hearts, a Neptune implementation of a Jupiter core, with a Seven of Spades inside and a Seven of Hearts outside. Various examples of expression of this Birthcard are Theodore Roosevelt, Susan Lucci, Robert Bly, JFK Jr, Richard Gere, Christina Applegate, Joe DiMaggio, Madeline Kahn, Itzhak Perlman, Harry Shearer, and the one and only John Cleese.

Tuesday, December 22, 2009

Dec 22 2009

Moon in Pisces will be opposite Vesta in the early morning, and will coast through the rest of the day. The theme of universal love may ring true today, although hard transits, Venus/Sun/Pluto T-square Saturn opposite Juno are still with us, there may be an almost aching longing for connection which can be best reached by letting go and "surrendering".

The Birthcard of today is the Nine of Hearts, a double Saturn with a "veiled" double Venus. Evo Morales, Brigitte Bardot, Ed Sullivan, Warren Buffett, Gwyneth Paltrow, Bootsy Collins, Hillary Clinton, Dale Carnigie, Cameron Diaz, Ismael Lo, Ernest Rutherford, Mira Sorvino, Jaclyn Smith, Leon Trotsky, Lady Bird Johnson, Moon Zappa, Scott Joplin, Puccini, and Seymour Cray are different examples of incarnations expressing through this Birthcard.

Dec 21 2009 Solstice

Solstice Greetings to all. As the late, great Benny Hill once said: "The Knights are getting shorter." Moon starts out the day Void of Course, so forget that power lunch today. She "enters" Pisces at 3:42 pm PST, and will be sextile The Sun exact at 4:16 pm PST, sextile Pluto exact at 9:41 pm PST, and oppposite Vesta in the middle of the night. Moon will also be inconjunct Saturn, more WTF possible. Although a strong possibility of a case of the "Mondays" this morning, things will likely pick up later in the day, as we have passed the stillpoint of Solstice, and the potential will begin actualizing as the "momentum" continues. We are headed for another intense set of transits: Juno opposite Saturn, both T-squared by Pluto, and joined by The Sun and Venus for a short while. Just in time for the holidays, likely to correlate with family/home/relationship themes bubbling up to be either looked at, or politely ignored. Your call, but it is suggested that avoidance, even in the name of political correctness, or preserving the peace, or not rocking the boat, is not always a good long term strategy.

Today's Birthcard is the Ten of Hearts, a Jupiter implementation of a Mars core, with a Jack of Clubs inside and a Five of Spades outside. Jane Fonda, Picasso, Avril Lavigne, Frank Zappa, Helen Reddy, Harpo Marx, Pablo Picasso, Richard Byrd, Madame Davia, Wesley Snipes, Dinah Washington, J. K. Rowling, Boris Karloff, Gwyneth Paltrow, Charlie Parker, Ingrid Bergman, Sai Baba, Michael Jackson, and Phil Donahue are various examples of expression of this Card.

Dec 20 2009

Moon in Aquarius will be opposite Mars exact at 6:44 pm PST. Are we at all annoyed? Mars went retrograde this morning (from our perspective that is, from Mars's perspective, Mars is just doing what Mars always does: orbiting The Sun). Juno has "entered" Aries, opposite Saturn. Moon will be sweeping conjunct the Chiron/Jupiter/Neptune trio late tonight into tomorrow early morning. Just to add to the fun, Mercury, although near the north node, is inconjunct Mars. There may be some WTF in the air. The Sun is conjunct Pluto for the next week or so, look for deep inquiries; explosive and possibly "dark" passions. With Venus approaching Pluto, the possibility of taboos or exotic "events" is enhanced, so to speak. With Juno opposite Saturn, relationship(s) may seem heavy at times, yet they are an excellent place to learn, if one stays with it rather than chasing off after forbidden fruit or other distractions. Overall, even with bouts of irritation, good intentions are likely today, possibly a bit rigid, but well meaning.

The Birthcard today is the Jack of Hearts, a Venus expression of a Jupiter core, a source card with the same inside and outside, all JH all the time. Ivan Pavlov, Charles De Gaulle, Lisa Kudrow, Ahnold the Governator, Henry Ford, Olivia Newton John, David Sanborn, T.S. Elliot, Terry Gilliam, Uri Geller, Kevin Kline, Jamie Lee Curtis, George Gershwin, and rumor has it, Goethe, are various expressions of this Card.

Saturday, December 19, 2009

Dec 19 2009

Moon in Aquarius will be trine Saturn exact at 10:58 am PST and also inconjunct Vesta. Venus has moved to square Uranus, and is beginning a sweep sextile of the Chiron/Jupiter/Neptune trio. With Venus still in the orb of trine Mars, and Mars inconjunct Uranus while at the edge of opposite the trio, likely that something from childhood is calling for attention; and that attention is best nurtured as only the feminine can, relationally. Pay attention to the Goddess, usually good advice, but today in particular: what do Gaia, Sophia, Diana, Inanna have to say, and where might you listen to them?

The Birthcard today is the Queen of Hearts, a double Neptune with a Ten of Spades inside and a Nine of Clubs outside. Lyndon Johnson, Jennifer Beals, Goldie Hawn, Rene Magritte, Anita Roddick, Christopher Reeve, Edith Piaf, Barbara Walters, Johnny Carson, Will Smith, Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and rumor has it, Voltaire, all share this Birthcard.

Dec 18 2009

Moon finishes up in Capricorn today, sextile Uranus around noon PST, and sextile Juno much later in the middle of the night. The common, popular beliefs have Moon going Void of Course at noon PST today; however as Moon will aspect Juno much later, it's anybody's guess. Pay attention to how you feel, when does the usual sensation of lacking mojo during Moon Void of Course "kick in " for you if at all? Regardless, innovation, new ideas are possible today, if you do have one, go for it. Enjoy the remainder of the Venus trine Mars aspect. As we enter an extended "Heart Card" phase which happens at the end of each year it is likely that any feelings or emotions will be powerful.

A reminder of "thou are not that" is in order as we approach Mercury and Mars retrograde.

Yes, it is absolutely boggling when one gets the picture of how much there seem to be scripts behind or under most individual and collective behavior; and yes, these scripts seem so lifelike. Today's Birthcard is the powerful King of Hearts, a Mars expression of a Mercury core, with a Two of Clubs inside, and a Nine of Spades outside. This is the Birthcard of Brad Pitt, Christina Aguilera, Joe Biden, Steven Spielberg, Betty Grable, Dick Smothers, Robert Byrd, Beatrix Potter, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Timothy Leary, Lee de Forest, Geraldine Ferraro, Jim Henson, Annette Funicello, Bobby Kennedy, Lena Horne, Stuart Wilde, Franz Liszt, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Linda Eastman McCartney, and rumor has it, Martin Luther.

Dec 17 2009

Moon in Capricorn meanders today, and ends up conjunct Mercury close to midnight PST. Watch the emotions today, possible blurring as feelings may feel like facts. Self knowledge, or knowledge of self may be of particular importance. Venus is trine Mars, so boy/girl (or other permutations) stuff may take center stage, even with the curtains pulled. Fortunately, nobody counts down the shopping days 'till Solstice.

The Birthcard today is the Ace of Clubs, a Mercury expression of a Venus core, paired with the Two of Hearts. It is one of two pairs of Cards that trade places back and forth within each pair. Various incarnational expressions of this Card are Arthur Fiedler, Kenny Werner, Calvin Klein, Alfred Nobel, Jodie Foster, James Garfield, Sean Connery, Slim Pickens, Jack Welch, John Coltrane, Claudia Schiffer, Indira Gandhi, Ray Charles, Dick Cavett, Meg Ryan, and rumor has it Augustus Caesar. Ironically, the character played by Jodie Foster in the Movie "Contact", Ellie Harroway, had this same Birthcard (a different Birthday, but the same Birthcard). The Archetypes have their ways, it seems.

Dec 16 2009 New Moon

Moon was New Moon overnight, and starts off the day Void of Course. She "enters" Capricorn at 2:32 pm PST, will be conjunct Pluto exact at 8:00 pm PST and square Saturn exact at 10:24 pm PST. Hope you had fun yesterday, as the morning has potential to feel rather squidgy, maybe a bit off in an isolating, pressuring way, giving way to more direct sensations of isolation, pressure, upheaval later in the afternoon. Of course, the Venus/Mars trine may correlate with some harmony to balance out the prior. Relationships, partnering are likely at center stage today.

The Birthcard today is the Two of Clubs, a Uranus implementation of a Saturn core, with an Ace of Spades inside and a King of Hearts outside. Aldous Huxley, Arthur C. Clarke, Mel Brooks, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Gilda Radner, Ashley Montagu, Tom Petty, Sandra Bullock, Aldous Huxley, Carl Jung, Alan Sheppard, Bela Lugosi, Margaret Mead, Stanley Kubrick, Wynonna Judd, Benny Goodman, Jane Austen, Mick Jagger, and Segolene Royal all share this Birthcard.

Tuesday, December 15, 2009

Dec 15 2009

Moon in Sagittarius will be conjunct Venus exact at 2:17 pm PST and trine Mars exact at 6:04 pm PST, which reminds us of the Venus/Mars trine. There is likely a three letter word in the air today, in expression of the sensate. However (there's almost always a however) south node is getting some focus in the form of a YOD pattern by Sun/Moon and Neptune/Jupiter/Chiron. The final wind-down towards New Moon may have a bit of a yin, lowish mojo feel, but with a possibility of a restless urge in the air today, one must eventually decide. Maybe tomorrow.

The Birthcard today is the Three of Clubs, a Saturn implementation of a Mars core, with a Five of Diamonds inside and a King of Diamonds outside. Recognizable names of incarnations expressing through this Birthcard include Freeman Dyson, J. Paul Getty, Auguste Lumiere, Helen Keller, Rock Hudson, Bob Hope, John Adams, Howard Dean, JFK, Martin

Monday, December 14, 2009

Dec 14 2009

Moon, now in Sagittarius will be sextile Saturn, exact just before noon PST. Sun is square Uranus, pulling away from trine Mars and sweeping sextile the Chiron/Jupiter/Neptune trio. Likely a good day for thinking of new ideas, which may almost "have" to be embraced. Now is the time to "get" childhood stuff, do your depth work (and play) as Jupiter will begin to separate from the long standing trio in the next couple of months.

The Birthcard today is the Four of Clubs, a Mars expression of a Jupiter core, with a Five of Clubs inside and a Six of Hearts outside. Examples of this Birthcard include Spike Jones, Claude Debussy, Pearl Buck, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Pierre Trudeau, Amelia Earhart, Karl Gauss, Werner Von Braun, Sophia Loren, George C. Scott, Tori Amos, Ray Bradbury, Ian Flemming, John-David, Bella Abzug, Upton Sinclair, Thomas Moore, and rumor has it, Nostradamus.

Sunday, December 13, 2009

Dec 13 2009

Moon in Scorpio will be square Mars in the morning, trine Uranus later in the day, and will sweep square the Chiron/Jupiter/Neptune trio by evening. The traditional way of looking at things puts Moon Void of Course starting at 5:18 pm PST, but there will be a final Moon trine Juno at around midnite PST. Notice when the mojo fades out, or when things feel squidgy for you tonight. Possible sensations of annoyance, but with surprising ease of change or innovation today. Possibility of restlessness, curiosity of things, wanting to know.

The Birthcard of the day is the Five of Clubs, a Mercury expression of a Saturn core, with a Five of Hearts inside and a Four of Clubs outside. Hubert Humphrey, Rene Descartes, Rachel Carson, Andrew Carnegie, Cesar Chavez, George Orwell, Beverly D'Angelo, Rita Hayworth, Princess Margaret, Ziggy Marley, Twiggy, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Christopher Dodd, Herb Alpert, Petula Clark, Dick Van Dyke, Arthur Miller, Kim Cattrall, Evel Knievel, Wilt Chamberlain, Kenny Rogers, Al Gore, and rumor has it, Descartes, are incarnational examples of the 5C.

Dec 12 2009

How were your dreams last night? Moon in Scorpio was sextile Pluto and Mercury overnight. Depth, then articulation. Elsewhere in the sky, the Saturn/Pluto square of upheaval remains, as does the Chiron/Jupiter/Neptune trio. Although it may be tempting to "force fit" rather than allow today, it would be good to take the higher, deeper path of intuition; rather than stick to the illusionary structure the familiar "law and order" or dogmatic mindset.

The Birthcard today is the Six of Clubs, a Neptune implementation of a Saturn core, with an Eight of Spades inside and a Two of Diamonds outside. Benjamon Harrison, James Monroe, Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Yanni, Condoleezza Rice, Aaron Copeland, John Wayne, Rose Kennedy, Tim Robbins, Ann-Margret, Ambrose Bierce, Connie Francis, Dionne Warwick, Jessica Alba, Lady Montagu, Ron Paul, Angela Lansbury, Greta Garbo, Hunter S. Thompson, Noah Webster, Norman Cousins, Warren Beatty, Frank Sinatra, and John Glenn are various incarnations expressing through this Birthcard.

Dec 11 2009

Moon finishes up in Libra sweeping trine the Chiron/Jupiter/Neptune trio this morning, also inconjunct Uranus and Juno. She will be Moon Void of Course from 9:45 am PST till 8:31 pm PST when she "enters" Scorpio. Might be a bit dramatic to write the day off, but, it would be a good day to let go of expectations. Possibility of some WTFs, not much mojo till late evening. Possible visit from the melancholy, but innovative genius today.

Today's Birthcard is the Seven of Clubs, a Saturn implementation of a Uranus core, with an Eight of Diamonds inside and a Jack of Spades outside. Bill Clinton, Ulysses Grant, John Tyler, Eugene McCarthy, Oscar Wilde, Whoopi Goldberg, Orville Wright, Igor Sikorsky, Keith O. Johnson, Alfred Kinsey, Louis Berlioz, Friedrich Nietzsche, Sam Walton, Samuel Morse, Fiorello La Guardia, Ernest Hemingway, Cassandra Peterson (Elvira), Robert Louis Stevenson, Ogden Nash, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Anne Bancroft, and Robin Williams all share this Birthcard.

Thursday, December 10, 2009

Dec 10 2009

Moon in Libra was square Mercury overnight, and will be sextile Venus this morning. Any restless dreams? With Mars trine The Sun, there may be a bit of a flirty, playful vibe in the air as both Venus and Mars are happy for the moment. Contrasting that, themes of power, of and over knowledge may also be in the air today.

The Birthcard today is the powerful Eight of Clubs, a Mars expression of a Neptune core, one of the three source cards that is the same inside as outside, WYSIWYG. Dwight Eisenhower, Larry Craig, Thomas Dolby, Priscilla Presley, Edmund Muskie, Carol Burnett, Edith Randall, Auguste Rodin, Edmund Hillary, Natalie Wood, Hank Paulson, Timothy Geithner, Austan Goolsbee, Simon Pierre Laplace, Eugène Delacroix, Lauren Bacall, Princess Grace, Roger Moore, John Audobon, Emily Dickenson, Bob Dylan, Gary Wright, Kris Kristofferson, Robert Redford, Meryl Streep, and rumor has it, Maxim Gorky are various incarnations expressing through this Birthcard.

Wednesday, December 9, 2009

Dec 9 2009

Moon starts off the day Void of Course giving a second case of the Mondays this week. Even lunch may be lacking mojo, after which Moon "enters" Libra in search of balance at 2:47 pm PST. Then Moon gives a kick to the Pluto/Saturn square of upheaval, square Pluto exact at 7:13 pm PST and conjunct Saturn exact at 9:07 pm PST. Possibly a bit of an artsy, sensual vibe likely in the air today, with the caveat that creativity spurred by pain is often quite beautiful, just not fun to be the artist of such.

The Birthcard today is the 9 of Clubs, a Venus expression of a Saturn core with a Queen of Hearts inside and a 6 of Diamonds outside. 9Cs include William Howard Taft, Ken Wilber whether he likes it or not, Tony Robbins, George McGovern, Gloria Swanson, George Patton, Redd Foxx, Joan Collins, Vikki Carr, Albert King, Samuel Goldwyn, Zane Grey, Edward Murrow, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Lindz Lawlor, Valerie Innes, Mae West, Artie Shaw, Jonathan Winters, Jane Russell, Kirk Douglas, Kurt Vonnegut, Al Pacino, Quentin Tarantino, Guglielmo Marconi, Fyodor Dostoevsky, and Jean-Paul Sartre.

Dec 8 2009 Moon Last Quarter

Dec 7 2009

How were your dreams last night? Paging Dr. Freud: Moon was opposite Neptune and Mercury was conjunct Pluto. Moon starts off the day Void of Course, it is indeed a case of the Mondays on Monday. Any extra coffee that had no effect in the morning may kick in around lunch. Moon "enters" Virgo at 11:05 am PST, and (with a little help from Mercury) will be lighting up the Pluto/Saturn square somewhat harmoniously, trine Pluto exact at 3:13 pm PST and trine Mercury exact at 4:47 pm PST. Communication and articulation of something involving deep upheavals, challenges to the status quo may be in the air. The trickster may pay a visit --- think fast. Regarding similar themes: Moon "lights up" the other heavenly bodies with either hard or soft aspects almost daily, and these correlate with various scenarios playing out. Over and over and over. Pick you delusion, or notice the script being played out and "use" that as an entry point or stepping stone beyond the collective delusion.

The Birthcard today is the Jack of Clubs, a Uranus expression of a Venus core, with a Jack of Diamonds inside and a 10 of Hearts outside. JCs include James Buchanan, William McKinley, Thomas Paine, Rahm Emanuel, Julia Child, Spiro Agnew, Walter Reed, Art Linkletter, Ralph Nader, John Steinbeck, Napoleon Bonaparte, Oprah, Susie Bright, Gloria Steinem, Eleanor Roosevelt, Max Planck, Rudolph Steiner, Sergei Prokofieff, Raymond Burr, Lou Gerhig, Howard Cosell, Jim Fixx, Phyllis Diller, Fats Waller, Guy Lombardo, Mel Torme, Aretha Franklin, Shirley Temple, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and Paula Abdul, whether they know it or not.

Dec 6 2009

Moon in Leo will be trine The Sun exact at 9:28 am PST, conjunct Mars exact at 3:51 pm PST, and begins a sweep opposite the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio in the evening. Likely less of an edge than would be expected from a Moon/Mars conjunction, as there is the trine with The Sun as part of the equation. Good day for getting things started and if they are already started, getting them done. Sun will be in the orb of trine Mars for the next week or so, so roll up your sleeves and go for it. Today, there may be a nudge to pursue dreams, take that brave and scary step towards what could be called destiny. Pay attention to intuition, somewhere in the midst of any emotional turmoil today.

Dec 5 2009

Moon starts off the day Void of Course and "enters" Leo at 9:07 am PST. Moon will be inconjunct the Pluto/Mercury pair, sextile Saturn exact at 2:36 pm PST, and trine Venus exact at 5:43 pm PST. The day will probably improve as the days goes by, possibly deliciously so by evening. Whether innovation or surprises, possibility of something new today, but oddly, somehow familiar if we look deeply at it. Mars will be teasing, almost opposite the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio in the next week or so, correlating with movement, action in the realms of childhood dreams and ideals. Juno is pulling away from conjunct Uranus, so there will be more distinct sensations associated with each as the Moon aspects them individually. Uranus is the innovator, and in some schools of thought, Juno is the higher octave of Venus, correlating with long term relations; those beyond the initial Eros of attraction.

The Birthcard today is the King of Clubs, a double Uranus with a 2 of Spades inside and an 8 of Spades outside. KCs include Keith Olbermann, Martin Van Buren, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Leon Trotsky, John Lennon, George Harrison, Marie Curie, Chaka Khan, John Muir, Erich Fromm, Pierre Simon Laplace, Hedy Lamarr, Ric Ocasek, Walt Disney, Barry Manilow, Arianna Huffington, Enrico Caruso, Alfred Hitchcock, Queen Elizabeth the Second, Gary Stadler, Igor Stravinsky, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Jesse Ventura, General Custer, Billy Graham, James "J Bob Dobbs" Dobson, and rumor has it, Rembrandt.

Dec 4 2009

Moon, at home in the Constellation of Cancer meanders, then later in the day sweeps inconjunct the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio, while being trine Uranus and Juno and conjunct the south node. Sometime between 9 pm and midnight PST (depending on which school of though one aligns with) tshe goes Moon Void of Course till tomorrow morning. With Venus sextile Saturn, the Moon trine may point towards "grounding" through connections, relations if things seem a bit WTF. A strong will, self identity is a good thing, but be aware of the lure of shiny things today.

The Birthcard today is the Ace of Diamonds, a Jupiter expression of a Neptune core, with a 2 of Diamonds inside and an Ace of Hearts outside. ADs include Marcel Marceau, George Soros, Angela Davis, Ray Conniff, Alice A. Bailey, Helena Blavatsky, Paul Hogan, Lionel Hampton, Cecil B. DeMille, Sigourney Weaver, Paul Newman, Ellen DeGeneres, Arnold Palmer, Steve Jobs, Maria Shriver, John Phillip Sousa, William Shatner, Ingmar Bergman, Bertrand Russell, Eddie Rickenbacker, Karl Malden, Chevy Chase, Dennis Kucinich, Francisco Franco, Juan Peron, Gerald R. Ford, and rumor has it, Marcus Antonius.

Dec 3 2009

Moon wakes up Void of Course this morning, then "enters" the Constellation of Cancer at 8:01 am PST. At home, but inconjunct Venus and giving a kick to the Saturn/Pluto square, with Moon opposite Pluto exact at 11:46 am PST and square Saturn exact at 1:14 pm PST. Potential for challenges to partnerships to surface today. Remember to breathe, and repeat: it's "only" a transit and it will pass.

The Birthcard for today is the 2 of Diamonds, a Mars expression of a Saturn core with a 6 of Clubs inside and an Ace of Diamonds outside. 2Ds include Vandana Shiva, Corazon Aquino, Viktor Yushchenko, Jose Silva, Benjamin Disraeli, Anna Freud, Modest Mussorgsky, Rosie O'Donnell, Art Garfunkel, Harrison Ford, Peter Fonda, Jayne Mansfield, Mike Douglas, Dudley Moore, Taj Mahal, Johannes Gutenberg, Jean Fourier, Leo Tolstoy, Neils Bohr, Ole Evinrude, Trent Reznor, Andy Williams, and Howard Jones.

In the evening, Moon will be square the Uranus/Juno pair, and will sweep trine the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio; ending up opposite Mercury in the middle of the night. Mercury is in the orb of conjunct Pluto for the next week or so, correlating with depth in communications. What Would Freud (or Jung, or Hillman) Write? Today, a good morning for seeing through uncertainty, making decisions and getting things done, while the continued themes of childhood ideals (and "just" childhood stuff) in the context of relations and relationships will get yet another nudge.

The Birthcard today is the 3 of Diamonds, a Mercury expression of a Uranus core, with a 6 of Hearts inside and a Queen of Diamonds outside. 3Ds include George Washington, Herbert Hoover, John Belushi, Sid Caesar, Milton Berle, Peter Sellers, Carl Reiner, Henry Fonda, Cheryl Ladd, Neil Diamond, Liberace, Andrew Wyeth, Oral (!) Dec 1 2009 Full Moon

Moon opposite Venus goes briefly Void of Course at the crack of Dawn, then "enters" Gemini at 6:23 am PST. Moon will be inconjunct Pluto, square Vesta, trine Saturn by noon PST. Full Moon will be exact at 11:30 pm PST, enjoy the beauty and intensity. Possibly a better day for getting it done with or without answers, and not pontificating about the questions. Uranus goes direct from our perspective today, so shifts, changes, innovations that may have been stuck or stymied may start to move. Today is a particularly good day to have a stable look at who and what we love; and plan on sticking it out through the storm.

The Birthcard today is the 4 of Diamonds, a Neptune expression of a Venus core, with a 5 of Spades inside and a 5 of Hearts outside. 4D incarnations include Antonio Villaraigosa, Michael Dukakis, John Hancock, Chester Arthur, John Quincy Adams, Jake Steinfeld, David Geffen, Pierre Currie, Nikita Khrushchev, Connie Stevens, Richard Tarnas, Ornette Coleman, J. Nov 30 2009

Moon in Taurus starts off the day square Mars, and sweeps square the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio in the afternoon and evening. Moon is also sextile the Uranus/Juno pair in the early evening. Possibility of a restless edge today, look to unlikely or unusual places to find stability, grounding.

Sunday, November 29, 2009

Nov 29 2009

Moon in Taurus starts off the day trine Pluto in search of depth, only to be a bit stymied by being inconjunct Saturn. Mercury begins a sweep sextile of the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio over the next few days, a good time to elucidate and articulate those child hood ideals, or just childhood stuff that may be surfacing today in particular. The cliche "expect the unexpected" may also apply, as Mercury will also be square the Uranus/Juno pair in the next few days. Regardless, there is likely an underlying feeling, or reference of a stable Heart today.

Nov 28 2009

Moon in Aries starts off the day in a grand trine with Mercury and Mars. If there ever was a good time to communicate and articulate with passion and intensity, this would be it. Then Moon sweeps sextile the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio, going Moon Void of Course at 3:33 pm PST with an inconjunct Venus. Be careful of WTFs involviing those close and/or in relationship with you, and today is likely a good day. An evening for chilling, go see an Arthouse Flick, just not on a first date.

Nov 27 2009

Happy Buy Nothing Day. Sometimes, less is more. Moon in Aries was square Pluto and opposite Saturn overnight, hope your dreams were the only place with turmoil. Dreams are truly one of the safest places for the Archetypes to act out. Less physical harm happens there. Moon starts out the day trine The Sun, which should mellow things out a bit, but there is likely a bit of a driving edge to the day. Mercury is approaching a sextile sweep of the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio. Over the next week, possibly better communication, articulation of childhood dreams we may have been feeling.

Thursday, November 26, 2009

Nov 26 2009

Conjunct Uranus and Juno before Dawn, Moon goes for a long Void of Course starting with a trine of Venus at 6:17 am PST and "enters" Aries at 7:11 pm PST. Likely more than usual sleepy times after gorging with high tryptophan foods. Low mojo day, but off to a good start. Zzzzzz.

The Birthcard of the day is Seven of Hearts, a Venus expression of a Mercury core, with an Eight of Hearts inside and an Ace of Spades outside. Varied incarnations of this card include Julia Roberts, Randy Newman, Francis Bacon, Jonas Salk, Rich Little, Truman Capote, Tina Turner, Howard Hughes, Ava Gardner, Bill Gates, and rumor has it Erasmus.

Nov 25 2009

Moon in Pisces will be square Mercury exact at 2:38 pm PST, and also inconjunct Mars. Possibility of a bit of an edge, with some WTF thrown in for good measure. With Venus trine Juno and Uranus, we can at least expect forgiveness, if we drop the barriers and connect. By tomorrow, with Mercury trine Mars, better communication and flow of information, except...we shall see tomorrow.

Note from the blogger: I should point out that my perspective may differ from the "norm" whatever that is, but I believe that any deterministic Archetypal Language, Astrology, Birthcards, Numerology, yada yada, does not describe the soul, rather they are peeks at the overlay that the soul expresses through. Thou art NOT that. The analogy is an old fashioned overhead projector. The lecturer places transparencies on, or writes with felt pen on the surface... and look at all the pretty images and text, information. We are not the structures, or the patterns, or the text, we are the light that shines through them.

Also, possibly another blasphemy: I believe that the reason Astrology and other Archetypal Languages work is because the majority of us (myself included) are still asleep to varying degrees. As we wake up, peel away each layer aha by aha, we start to see the scripts of the show...and some of us continue to delve deeper, ask questions, explore.

Nov 24 2009 First Quarter

Moon wakes up Void of Course, then "enters" Pisces, her home away from home at 8:07 am PST. Moon will be inconjunct Saturn and sextile Pluto around noon PST, and of course square The Sun shortly after at 1:39 pm PST. Likely a need for depth, but a bit frustrating in finding it. The theme of universal love may ring true today, although hard transits, specifically Saturn square Pluto, are still with us, there may be an almost aching longing for connection which can be best reached by letting go and "surrendering".

The Birthcard of today is the Nine of Hearts, a double Saturn with a "veiled" double Venus. Brigitte Bardot, Ed Sullivan, Warren Buffett, Gwyneth Paltrow, Bootsy Collins, Hillary Clinton, Dale Carnigie, Cameron Diaz, Ernest Rutherford, Mira Sorvino, Leon Trotsky, Lady Bird Johnson, Moon Zappa, Scott Joplin, and Seymour Cray are different examples of incarnations expressing through this Birthcard.

Monday, November 23, 2009

Nov 23 2009

Venus begins a square sweep of the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio over the next few days. Moon in Aquarius was opposite Mars overnight, will be square Venus, and will be sweeping conjunct the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio today, ending at 7:36 pm when she goes Moon Void of Course till tomorrow morning. Really, more of the same, with slightly different seasonings on the basic recipe.
Reschedule that first date from tonight to a different evening, however.

Today's Birthcard is the Ten of Hearts, a Jupiter implementation of a Mars core, with a Jack of Clubs inside and a Five of Spades outside. Jane Fonda, Frank Zappa, Harpo Marx, Pablo Picasso, Wesley Snipes, Dinah Washington, J. K. Rowling, Charlie Parker, Ingrid Bergman, Michael Jackson, and Phil Donahue are various examples of expression of this Card.

Sunday, November 22, 2009

Nov 22 2009

Moon in Aquarius will meander today, and be sextile Mercury exact at 5:2- pm PST. Likely a good day for writing. Venus is still square Mars; Sun is sextile Saturn. Give and take in the boy/girl (and other permutations) arena, good time for getting things done, or at least started. Some relief from the continuing Saturn square Pluto. Possibly a bit rigid, although with good intentions today.

Saturday, November 21, 2009

Nov 21 2009

Moon in Capricorn was sextile Juno/Uranus shortly before dawn, and will be sextile The Sun shortly after dinner. There will be a brief couple of minutes of Moon Void of Course, from 7:04 pm PST till 7:11 pm PST when Moon "enters" Aquarius. Moon will be trine Saturn close to midnight. Likely a bit of a reprieve today from the continuing Saturn square Pluto, which will be that way for a few months. Passion, liberation, repression, upheaval.

Friday, November 20, 2009

Nov 20 2009

Moon in Capricorn will be inconjunct Mars and sextile Venus, exact at 3:21 pm PST. If there has been any push/pull or tension with boy/girl (or other permutations) stuff correlated with the current Mars/Venus square; the Venusian side may shine today, while the Marsian side may flounder. Tomorrow will be another story of a different dynamic between the two, but for today it is likely that any feelings or emotions will be powerful.

Thursday, November 19, 2009

Nov 19 2009

Moon starts off Void of Course, and "enters" Capricorn at 7:01 AM emphasizing the Pluto/Saturn square, conjunct Pluto exact at 10:37 am PST and square Saturn exact at 11:07 am PST. Fortunately, as Pluto is trine Vesta, so is Moon. Amidst sensations of upheaval, feeling restricted, there may be respite from home, wherever that is. Venus is square Mars, so there may be boy/girl (or other permutations) tension. Self knowledge, or knowledge of self may be of particular importance today.

Wednesday, November 18, 2009

Nov 18 2009

Moon in Sagittarius will be square the Juno/Uranus pair and will sweep sextile the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio, ending at 6:46 pm PDT when Moon goes Void of Course till tomorrow morning. Any upsets, fears are likely to have support to see them through. Although relationships, partnering are likely at center stage today, not a good evening for a first date.

Tuesday, November 17, 2009

Nov 17 2009

Overnight, Moon in Sagittarius was nudging the Mercury/Saturn sextile, which correlates with serious communications; a practical, critical, but not very wide perspective. Moon will be trine Mars much later, exact close to midnight PST, likely a good time to get those things done that were so clearly in thought earlier in the day. Possibility of a restless urge in the air today, one must eventually decide. Maybe tomorrow.

Nov 16 2009 New Moon

Moon finishes up in Scorpio, sweeping square the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio; and with The Sun, makes a nice grand trine with Juno/Uranus and the south node. Once again, diverging schools of thought. One puts Moon Void of Course starting at 11:14 am PST, right after New Moon, the other puts Moon Void of Course starting at 8:09 pm PST. Either way, Moon "enters" Sagittarius at 9:22 pm PST. This would be a day to pay attention to when and how the mojo feels to you. Likely a good day for thinking of new ideas.

Sunday, November 15, 2009

Nov 15 2009

Saturn passed exact square Pluto this morning, excellent series on that meme starting here. Venus, now square Mars will be lit up by the Moon in Scorpio, conjunct Venus exact at 7:41 am PDT. The Sun is finishing a sweep square the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio and inconjunct the Juno/Uranus pair. Mercury has already moved on to something else to think about. The tightness that has been in the air will likely lift a bit as the day goes on. A good morning to hold someone close and ride the storm together.

Nov 14 2009

Moon finishes up in Libra this morning, sextile Vesta right at noon PST, then goes Void of Course till 2:24 pm PST, when she "enters" Scorpio in search of some kind of stimulating adventure. Except that the Saturn/Pluto square is approaching exact tomorrow, so there may be a bit of a squishy, pressured upheaval in the air.

Nov 13 2009

Moon in Libra will be sextile Mars just after dawn this morning, and will sweep trine the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio in the evening. Moon will also be inconjunct the Juno/Uranus pair late at night. Likely a good start today, and then more of the usual as the day passes by, as Moon is transiting the usual suspects. See prior posts. Possibility of feeling good about ideals, but ambivalent about how to and whom with to engage those ideals; with a visit from the melancholy, but innovative genius.

Nov 11 2009

Happy Armistice Day. On 11/11 at 11 AM the imminent threat of peace breaking out was realized. Only happened rarely since then, 1917. Mercury and The Sun are square the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio and trine the Juno/Uranus pair. Moon in Virgo will be sextile Mercury and The Sun (actually in reverse order), inconjunct the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio, and opposite the Juno/Uranus pair. Seems the same themes are likely to get attention today: childhood stuff and the ability to see them through to healing, grand and grandiouse ideals, that fine line between delusions and spirituality, changes or innovations in the relationship arena. Be nice to your proverbial inner child. Possibly a bit of an artsy, sensual vibe likely in the air today, with the caveat that creativity spurred by pain is often quite beautiful, just not fun to be the expresser of such.

The Birthcard today is the 9 of Clubs, a Venus expression of a Saturn core with a Queen of Hearts inside and a 6 of Diamonds outside. 9Cs include William Howard Taft, Ken Wilber whether he likes it or not, Tony Robbins, George McGovern, Gloria Swanson, George Patton, Redd Foxx, Joan Collins, Vikki Carr, Albert King, Samuel Goldwyn, Zane Grey, Edward Murrow, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Lindz Lawlor, Valerie Innes, Mae West, Artie Shaw, Jonathan Winters, Jane Russell, Kirk Douglas, Kurt Vonnegut, Al Pacino, Quentin Tarantino, Guglielmo Marconi, Fyodor Dostoevsky, and Jean-Paul Sartre.

Nov 10 2009

Moon enters Virgo at the crack of Dawn, will be trine Pluto exact at 8:11 am PST and sextile Venus exact at 11:31 am PST. With Vesta in the vicinity of trine Pluto, Moon lights up a mini grand trine correlating with harmonious depth in relations and home/family. A nice relief from the pressing Saturn Pluto square. See prior posts for slower moving transits. Today, do be aware of the fine line between wanting to know it all, and being the know it all who may or may not.

The Birthcard today is the 10 of Clubs, a Solar expression of a Mars core and some flexibility to experience a Venus or Mercury core with a Jack of Spades inside and a 4 of Spades outside. 10Cs include Franklin D. Nov 9 2009 Moon Last Quarter

Moon in Leo will be square Mercury and The Sun this morning, and will sweep opposite the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio. Moon will also be inconjunct Juno/Uranus, and will finish up conjunct Vesta, exact at 1:04 am PST, i.e. the next morning just past midnight. Then, Moon will be Void of course till just before dawn tomorrow morning. Some schools of thought put Moon Void of Course starting earlier when Moon was opposite Neptune, at 6:43 pm PST. What do you perceive this evening? Bit more of an edge today likely. More childhood stuff, WTF, relationship issues. If the themes seem similar, they are. Moon "lights up" the other heavenly bodies with either hard or soft aspects almost daily, and these correlate with various scenarios playing out.

Sunday, November 8, 2009

Nov 8 2009

Moon in Leo will start off the day inconjunct Pluto, and meander through the day (although the day may not feel very meandering), conjunct Mars exact at 8:21 pm PDT. The short and simple Mooncast is WTF in the morning and annoyed in the evening. Fortunately, Moon's transits are fast moving and short lived, and not the only correlation. Venus sextile Pluto may correlate with depth emotion in relationships. Mercury is beginning a square sweep of the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio, followed shortly by The Sun. There may be a nudge to pursue dreams, take that brave and scary step towards what could be called destiny. Pay attention to intuition, somewhere in the midst of any emotional turmoil today.

The Birthcard today is the Queen of Clubs, a Mercury expression of a Mars core, with a 3 of Hearts inside and a 10 of Diamonds outside. QCs include Michael Bolton, Ira Gershwin, Andrew Mellon, Robert Novak, Nikolai Lenin, H. L. Mencken, Immanual Kant, Arthur Laffer, Jack Nicholson, Jesse Owens, Will Ferrell, Ginger Rogers, Dave Brubeck, Minnie Ripperton, James Stewart, Aaron Spelling, Cher, Nicolas Sarkozy, Charles Mingus, Jonhhy Cash, Jackie Gleason, Alan Alda, Paul McCartney, and rumor has it, Socrates.

Moon was trine The Sun and Mercury overnight, and finishes up in Cancer, her home constellation. In the morning Moon will be sweeping inconjunct the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio, and trine the Juno/Uranus pair, going Moon Void of Course at 3:41 pm PST till the middle of the night. Not a good evening for a first date, better evening to just chill, particularly as Moon is also conjunct the south node. Moon Void of Course would have started much later, except that Venus changes constellations (into Scorpio) after the last Moon transit, and the effect may be almost a bit comical; like when someone goes to sit down, but the chair is moved away from under them. Fortunately this does not happen very often, except in the movies. Surprises or innovations possible today, there may be a WTF about childhood stuff; connections with those close will be the best soothing salve.

The Birthcard today is the King of Clubs, a double Uranus with a 2 of Spades inside and an 8 of Spades outside. KCs include Keith Olbermann, Martin Van Buren, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Leon Trotsky, John Lennon, George Harrison, Marie Curie, Chaka Khan, John Muir, Erich Fromm, Pierre Simon Laplace, Hedy Lamarr, Ric Ocasek, Walt Disney, Barry Manilow, Arianna Huffington, Enrico Caruso, Alfred Hitchcock, Queen Elizabeth the Second, Gary Stadler, Igor Stravinsky, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Jesse Ventura, General Custer, Billy Graham, James "J Bob Dobbs" Dobson, and rumor has it, Rembrandt.

Nov 6 2009

Moon at home in the constellation of Cancer has finished a hard night with Pluto and Saturn, that would have been harder except for an earlier trine with Venus. But today, she takes a breather and lets the other slower moving heavenly bodies speak for themselves. Neptune has joined it's companions of the long lasting trio, Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune in going direct. Notice anything with liquids, fluids, or gasses? Or childhood memories? Or ideals? Today, there may be a tendency to think that a good feeling is all about you, or there just for you; it is for and about everyone and everything.

The Birthcard today is the Ace of Diamonds, a Jupiter expression of a Neptune core, with a 2 of Diamonds inside and an Ace of Hearts outside. ADs include Marcel Marceau, George Soros, Angela Davis, Ray Conniff, Alice A. Bailey, Helena Blavatsky, Paul Hogan, Lionel Hampton, Cecil B. DeMille, Sigourney Weaver, Paul Newman, Ellen DeGeneres, Arnold Palmer, Steve Jobs, Maria Shriver, John Phillip Sousa, William Shatner, Ingmar Bergman, Bertrand Russell, Eddie Rickenbacker, Karl Malden, Chevy Chase, Dennis Kucinich, Francisco Franco, Juan Peron, Gerald R. Ford, and rumor has it, Marcus Antonius.

Nov 5 2009

Moon in Gemini sweeps trine the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio; and sweeps square the Juno/Uranus conjunct. Today partnerships, relations, cohorts may be at center stage; possibly a nudge from/in relation(s), but ease in regards to childhood stuff that is likely surfacing at this time. Moon ends up making a grand kite formation with Neptune, Venus and Vesta at the head or tip of the kite; trine Venus exact at 7:47 pm PST when she goes Moon Void of Course till 11:42 pm PST. Then she "enters" Cancer, her home in search of a cozy place to snuggle warmly and spend the night. The pea under the matress is that Moon will be lighting up the Pluto/Saturn square overnight; there may be feelings of lonliness in the dreams, carrying over to tomorrow morning.

The Birthcard for today is the 2 of Diamonds, a Mars expression of a Saturn core with a 6 of Clubs inside and an Ace of Diamonds outside. 2Ds include Vandana Shiva, Corazon Aquino, Viktor Yushchenko, Jose Silva, Benjamin Disraeli, Anna Freud, Modest Mussorgsky, Rosie O'Donnell, Art Garfunkel, Harrison Ford, Peter Fonda, Jayne Mansfield, Mike Douglas, Dudley Moore, Taj Mahal, Johannes Gutenberg, Jean Fourier, Leo Tolstoy, Neils Bohr, Ole Evinrude, Trent Reznor, Andy Williams, and Howard Jones.

Nov 4 2009

Moon, now in Gemini, made a grand trine with Saturn and Lilith Moon overnight, nudging us through our Dreams to feel our place in the scheme of things, maybe a bit heavy, but mostly insightful. Moon will be sextile Mars exact at 11:55 am PST, and inconjunct Sun/Mercury a bit later. Venus is still busy, square the north/south node axis, trine Chiron/Neptune, and inconjunct Juno/Uranus. Likely a number of mixed messages in the boy/girl (and other permutations) department. A good morning for getting things done, but also likely an air of uncertainty in the aethers today.

The Birthcard today is the 3 of Diamonds, a Mercury expression of a Uranus core, with a 6 of Hearts inside and a Queen of Diamonds outside. 3Ds include George Washington, Herbert Hoover, John Belushi, Sid Caesar, Milton Berle, Peter Sellers, Carl Reiner, Henry Fonda, Cheryl Ladd, Neil Diamond, Liberace, Andrew Wyeth, Oral (!) Nov 3 2009

Moon finishes up in Taurus this busy morning, having swept square the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio starting around midnight, finishing mid-morning. Moon will also be sextile the Juno/Uranus conjunction, and with them and the north/south node axis, be making a mini star of David, also known as Dave. Moon will also be inconjunct Venus, then square Vesta, exact at 1:04 pm PST when she goes Moon Void of Course till 8:53 pm PST. Then, she "enters" Gemini and will be trine Saturn, exact at 9:53 pm PST and inconjunct Pluto overnight. With Moon transiting this much of a variety, likely opportunity in the midst of WTF.

P. Morgan Jr. , Vincenzo Bellini, Brian Eno, Woody Allen, Charles Bronson, John Wanamaker, Ursula Andress, Sybil Leek, William Butler Yeats, James Clerk Maxwell, and rumor has it, Avogadro.

Nov 2 2009 Full Moon

Moon in Taurus will be lighting up the Mercury/Mars square before going full; square Mars exact at 6:41 am PST, opposite Mercury exact at 8:05 am PST, and opposite The Sun exact at 11:14 am PST. Full Moon has a reputation for intensity of experiences, and this one will likely be no exception. Mars in a hard aspect with almost any other heavenly body correlates with trouble for the most part: edge, excess yang; when lit up by the Moon, more so. Enjoy the intensity of the Full Moon, and be good. Howl at the Moon, not at each other.

Imagine a world reaching the critical mass of awakened humanity:
It is worth repeating that one reason Astrology and other deterministic Archetypal Languages "work", or to put it another way, the experiences of psyche correlate with what is largely unseen, is because the critical mass of humanity is still unconscious, following the dynamics of the Cosmos (physically and non-physically) much as collections of unconscious (relatively speaking) particles follow the laws of mechanics or Physics, PV equals nRT. We get to wake up.

T
he Birthcard today is the 5 of Diamonds, a Saturn implementation of a Neptune core, with a 9 of Diamonds inside and a 3 of Clubs outside. 5D incarnations include

Nov 1 2009

Buh-bye to daylight "savings" time. Remember any dreams of mention? Moon finishes up it's sweep sextile Neptune at 5:30 am PST, then goes Void of course for most of the day. A really good day to chill after Hallow's Eve festivities the night before. As is usual with Moon Void, extra coffee may not alleviate those hangover symptoms, and may have an extra kick by the evening. Moon enters Gemini at 4:45 pm PST, and will be trine Pluto exact at 7:06 pm PST. Evening may hold intense, possibly emotional discussions seeking depth; but as Mercury has snuck up to square Mars, don't count on an easy resolution of what may be at odds. There may be push, with desire to communicate, but tension may keep that much desired resolution at bay for at least a couple more days. The cheery news is that if we stay with our feet lithely on the ground through challenges, good things do happen.

The Birthcard today is the 6 of Diamonds, a Jupiter expression of a Mercury core, with a 9 of Clubs inside and a 3 of Spades outside. 6Ds include Geena Davis, Paul Allen, Christian Dior, Richard Strauss, Carrie Prejean, Courtney Love, Seal, Arthur Koestler, Emma Watson, Gore Vidal, Rudolf Nureyev, Nat King Cole, Cindy Crawford, Bob Newhart, Mata Hari, Stevie Wonder, Werner Erhard, Jeanette Rankin, Tom Hanks, Thomas Wolfe, Raquel Welch, Freddie Mercury, and rumor has it Copernicus.

Oct 31 2009

May your Samhain be colorful. Moon in Aries will be opposite Pallas this morning, and begin a sweep sextile the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio this evening. Any give and take will likely settle down by the evening. Sun is just pulling away from square Mars, so after any final acts of sudden annoyance, we may relax a bit. Except, Venus is within the orb of inconjunct the Juno/Uranus pair for the next week or so. Possible unresolved stuff in the realm of relationships that just won't quite, er, resolve. Let it be. Regardless, there is likely an underlying feeling, or reference of a stable Heart today, making it easier to let it be. The big event is Chiron, within the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio, is going direct. Lucid explanation at Pandora Astrology.

Oct 30 2009

As Moon starts off the day Void of Course, it could be one of those "oh Gawd, is it Friday morning yet" kind of mornings. Moon enters Aries at 10:56 am PDT and will be opposite Saturn exact at 11:09 am PDT, square Pluto exact at 1:20 pm PDT, then trine Mars exact at 11:50 pm PDT. So, the extra coffee consumed to get the mojo going this morning will kick in doubly so around lunchtime. There may be a feeling of isolation, fleeting depression, down and out, as Moon lights up the Saturn/Pluto square, but don't panic: it will pass as the day passes. Better to let it pass than stir the restless Heart today. Will likely feel like picking up the pieces later in the evening, a good time for "getting it done" as Moon trines Mars.

Oct 29 2009

Moon in Pisces will be inconjunct Venus mid-day, conjunct Juno exact at 7:03 pm PDT, and conjunct Uranus exact at 9:56 pm PDT when she goes Moon Void of Course till late tomorrow morning. Possible intense emotions today, but with indecision or uncertainty about one or ones you may be attached to. Possibility of surprises today, best met with creativity, innovation. Usually good advice, particularly so now.

Oct 28 2009

Moon, now in Pisces, her home away from home, was trine Mercury and sextile Pluto overnight. Remember any meaningful dreams? Moon will be inconjunct Mars this morning, and will be trine The Sun exact at 11:37 am PDT. Likely somewhat "easier", if uncertain feel in the air today. The Pluto T-square is still with us, but Venus is now sweeping trine the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio, and Mercury is sextile Pluto, so the deeper questions may be less WTF and actually becoming answers. However, Sun is square Mars, so wear your seatbelts. Be aware of a strong possibility of intensity, oopses, snippiness, annoyance over the next few days.

Oct 27 2009

Moon in Aquarius will continue to sweep conjunct the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune, conjunct Chiron exact at 7:10 am PDT and exact Neptune exact at 12:11 pm PDT. Emotional focus on grandiouse ideals, healing our childhoods likely, but as Moon will also be inconjunct the south node, unfortunately many a great idea may not stick as expected or hoped. That's life. Venus is beginning a sweep trine of the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio over the next week or so. This is likely to offset some of the Pluto T-square which is still with us.

Oct 26 2009

Moon, now in Aquarius, will end the day with one of the nicest transits, trine Venus exact at 6:46 pm PDT. By 11ish in the pm, she will begin a sweep conjunct the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio which will last through mid day tomorrow. The theme of universal love may ring true today, although the hard patterns are still with us, there may be an almost aching longing for connection which can be best reached by letting go and "surrendering".

The Birthcard of today is the Nine of Hearts, a double Saturn with a "veiled" double Venus. Brigitte Bardot, Ed Sullivan, Warren Buffett, Gwyneth Paltrow, Bootsy Collins, Hillary Clinton, Dale Carnigie, Cameron Diaz, Ernest Rutherford, Mira Sorvino, Leon Trotsky, Lady Bird Johnson, Moon Zappa, Scott Joplin, and Seymour Cray are different examples of this incarnations expressing through this Birthcard.

Oct 25 2009 Moon First Quarter

Moon finishes up in Capricorn this morning trine Saturn and goes briefly Void of Course from 11:15 am PDT till 12:08 pm PDT when she "enters" Aquarius. Moon will be square Sun exact at 5:42 pm PDT and opposite Mars exact at 9:30 pm PDT. The Sun is still in the orb of sextile Pluto; likely a good morning for getting things done in the search for depth and meaning. Afternoon and evening may have a bit of an edge to them.

Oct 24 2009

The Sun is sextile Pluto, likely that deeper meanings actually mean something. Curiosity beyond the physical domain. Moon in Capricorn will be conjunct the north node, sextile Juno/Uranus and inconjunct Vesta late in the evening. Possible flavors correlated with that are good footing, grounding when talking about unconventional lifestyles to the family. However, the overall flavor may be a bit rigid and almost smothering, although with good intentions.

Oct 23 2009

Moon, now in Capricorn passed conjunct Pluto overnight, how were your dreams? Deeper meanings worthy of the analyst? Moon will be inconjunct Mars this morning and meanders to square Venus late in the evening. A bit of squidginess in the morning likely, but better (relatively speaking) as the day winds down. Sun in in the orb of square Mars, heading fo an exact over the weekend, do wear your seatbelts, try to channel the emotions and reactions creatively. Passion, liberation, repression, upheaval.

Oct 22 2009

How were your dreams? Moon was sextile Mercury overnight, not necessarily dreamy in the usual sense, possibly talkative and chatty. Moon in Sagittarius is busy this morning: trine Vesta, sextile Chiron and Neptune, and square Juno and Uranus. Whatever the feelings are, they are not likely to be neutral. Later in the evening, Moon will be square Saturn and sextile The Sun around midnight; "entering" Capricorn as The Sun "enters" Scorpio. Possible sensations of aloneness in the evening, again, likely that any feelings or emotions are powerful today.

Wednesday, October 21, 2009

Oct 21 2009

Moon in Sagittarius starts off the day sextile Venus exact at 5:11 am PDT, and begins a sweep sextile the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio in the middle of the night. Vesta, in the middle of a slow sweep opposite the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio, is opposite Chiron. Home and childhood issues may have a particular intensity. Vesta is also inconjunct or quincunx Uranus/Juno, possible uncertainty or surprises in relation to the home or tradition about relationships. Or uncertainty about what is uncertain. See prior post about Sun square Mars. Of course, the Pluto T-square is still with us. But this morning will likely be a pleasant reprive, beauty and warm fuzzies for all.

Oct 20 2009

Moon finishes up in Scorpio today, finishing her sweeps begun yesterday, and ending up sextile Saturn exact at 11:57 am PDT when she goes Moon Void of Course till 1:49 pm PDT. Then, she "enters" Sagittarius, and will be trine Mars exact at 5:52 pm PDT. Excluding the notch of missing mojo around west coast lunchtime, a somewhat mellower day than many in recent history. Partnerships will likely have center stage. Elsewhere in the sky, Mercury begins a sweep trine the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio over the next week, good news. And in the other corner, Sun is in the orb of square Mars over the next week or so. Ruh roh. Ego conflicts, brashness, sudden outbursts, minor accidents correlate with this one. Play safe, wear your seatbelts. Mars really needs a creative place to act out, or else.

Monday, October 19, 2009

Oct 19 2009

Moon in Scorpio will begin a sweep square of the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio this afternoon through the middle of the night. Feel like writing, journaling today? As Mercury is away from Saturn and thus the Pluto T-square (till the next aspect in about a week) and Venus is pulling away from Saturn, it is likely that some boy/girl (or other permutations) worries may be settling down a bit, if not now, in the next few days. With Juno still conjunct Uranus and part of the Pluto T-square, long term relationships may be another story. Conversations along the themes of decisions, uncertainty; choice, faith are likely today---but with more resolution than the last week, as The Sun is pulling away from inconjunct/quincunx the Uranus/Juno conjunction. Additionally, Mars is finally pullling away from the south node; maybe a bit less wheel spinning in the near future.

The Birthcard today is the Three of Clubs, a Saturn implementation of a Mars core, with a Five of Diamonds inside and a King of Diamonds outside. Recognizable names of incarnations expressing through this Birthcard include Freeman Dyson, J. Paul Getty, Auguste Lumiere, Helen Keller, Rock Hudson, Bob Hope, John Adams, Howard Dean, JFK, Martin Scorsese, Gustav Holst, H. G. Wells, Bill Murray, and rumor has it, Nero.
