Mar 31 2009

Remember any dreams? Moon was sextile Mercury in the wee hours, and although other transits don't point to an easy time at this time, that transit would indicate harmony between thoughts, feelings, and the communication betwen them. Today, Moon in Gemini is T-square the Mars Saturn opposition, with some relief from a trine with Jupiter. Moon was square Mars exact at 4:18 am PDT, will be square Saturn exact at 10:51 am PDT, trine Jupiter exact at 3:00 pm PDT, and just to spice things up a bit, square Uranus exact at 10:48 pm PDT. See the last post on Mars and Saturn. They are likely to be felt today, with an extra kick from the proximity of Uranus to Mars adding a surprise element to the bottled frustration in the air. Specifics of these transits to one's birth/natal chart will weigh which flavors are dominant today. Just exercise restraint in the emotional domain if possible, as these are prime opportunities to differentiate from and recognize the collective states induced by Archetypal influences.

The Birthcard of the day is the Five of Clubs, a Mercury expression of a Saturn core, with a Five of Hearts inside and a Four of Clubs outside. Rene Descartes, Beverly D'Angelo, Ziggy Marley, Arthur Miller, Evel Knievel, Kenny Rogers, and Al Gore are incarnational examples of this restless and inquisitive Birthcard.

Mar 30 2009

This week we will be feeling Mars/Saturn in opposition. Remember the genre that popularized baggy lowrider jeans? As in the guy with plumber's crack who was always cursing about the thingy that didn't fit, or was a hassle to get to? Hard Mars Saturn is the pissed off contractor's transit. Frustration, bottled rage seething just below the surface from go juice (Mars) thwarted by immovable objects (Saturn). Just to add to the fun, Venus is still square Pluto, so tempers may have a way of de-stabilizing relationships. The good news today is that Moon and Venus are sextile exact at 3:37 pm PDT. Even better, they are trine/sextile the north/south node axis --- this is a particularly harmonious pattern. Tomorrow, all best are off, so enjoy today. Mercury is conjunct Sun today, so expect some sharp thinking, or at least sharp wit.

The Birthcard today is the Six of Clubs, a Neptune implementation of a Saturn core, with an Eight of Spades inside and a Two of Diamonds outside---either the policeman or the psychic. Vincent Van Gogh, Yanni (!), Condoleezza Rice (!!), Tim Robbins, Ron Paul, Hunter S. Thompson, and John Glenn are various incarnations expressing through this Birthcard.

Moon in Taurus wil be loosely trine/sextile the loose Saturn/Uranus opposition today and square the Chiron/Neptune/Juno trio tonight. See last post for Sun/Mercury/Venus, and prior posts on Chiron/Neptune/Juno. Our friend the Moon will be trine Saturn exact at 8:04 am PDT, square Jupiter exact at 11:18 am PDT, sextile Uranus exact at 7:39 pm PDT, square Chiron exact at 9:02 pm PDT, square Neptune exact at 11:01 pm PDT, conjunct Vesta exact at 11:20 pm PDT, and finally into tomorrow morning square Juno exact at 2:53 am PDT when she goes Moon Void of Course till 6:36 am PDT when she enters Gemini. But, frankly my dear, tomorrow's another day. Today, ease in regards to changes earlier in the day, and emphasis on childhood/home/healing later in the day. Good day for Art. Stay away from that bottle, definitely not a good evening for self medication.

Today's Birthcard is the Seven of Clubs, a Saturn implementation of a Uranus core, with an Eight of Diamonds inside and a Jack of Spades outside. Bill Clinton, Whoopi Goldberg, Sam Walton, Cassandra Peterson (Elvira), Ogden Nash, and Robin Williams all share this Birthcard.

Mar 28 2009

Sun, Venus, and Mercury are conjunct the next couple of days, an amalgam of Art and Intellect; likely a harmonious expression of such as they are sextile/trine the north/south node axis. Shifting moods coming up --- the first week in April may bring a few curses as Mars will be opposite Saturn then. Here and now, Moon in Taurus will be trine Pluto exact at 8:50 am PDT and sextile Mars, exact at 10:11 pm PDT. A good morning for therapy --- deep, passionate feelings where superficiality just won't do. The afternoon and evening will be good for taking charge and getting things done.

The Birthcard today is the powerful Eight of Clubs, a Mars expression of a Neptune core, one of the three source cards that is the same inside as outside, WYSIWYG. Thomas Dolby, Priscilla Presley, Edmund Muskie, Hank Paulson, Timothy Geithner, Austan Goolsbee, Gary Wright, and Meryl Streep are various incarnations expressing through this Birthcard.

Mar 27 2009

Moon in Aries will be sextile Jupiter exact at 6:38 am PDT, so the day is off to a good start with warm fuzzies for all. Venus is conjunct Sun exact today, see the last couple posts on that. For a very good insight into Juno and Neptune, look here. In the evening Moon will be sweeping sextile the Chiron/Neptune/Juno trio; exact sextile Chiron at 5:08 pm PDT, exact sextile Neptune at 7:17 pm PDT, and exact sextile Juno at 9:49 pm PDT when she goes Moon Void of Course till 3 something tomorrow morning when Moon enters Taurus. Moon sextile anything could be described as the antithesis of antithesis, so the evening could be a good time to explore or experience a spiritual transcendence of childhood woundings in the context of a close friend or confidant, or trusted family member. There are better times to surrender, and this is one of them. Or, you could go out and about on a date and wonder why the hypersensitivity followed by lack of mojo later in the evening.

The Birthcard today is the 9 of Clubs, a Venus expression of a Saturn core with a Queen of Hearts inside and a 6 of Diamonds outside. 9Cs include Ken Wilber whether he likes it or not, Tony Robbins, Albert King, Zane Grey, Ella Fitzgerald, Lindz Lawlor who does like it, Valerie Innes who usually likes it, Artie Shaw, Quentin Tarantino, and Jean-Paul Sartre.

Mar 26 2009 New Moon

Mercury will be square Pluto till the end of the Month, can be obsessive or focused. April 1 will have an extra kick, as Venus will have retrograded into Mercury squaring Pluto. Might be a good time to take up painting to give the heavy feelings of Venus/Pluto a place to express that Venus/Mercury is needing in an Artistic sense. This would be an exercise in sensing the mood, differentiating from it, and giving it a place to express rather than destructively closer to home, as in one's relationship(s). For today, Moon in Aries was square Pluto a few hours before Dawn; be aware of power struggles as feelings, suppressed or not, may arise from the deep. Moon is conjunct Sun exact at 9:06 am PDT and conjunct Venus exact at 12:15 pm PDT. After an intense start, today would be good for new or renewed cuddles and warm fuzzies. Good for socializing, do be aware of a small potential for overindulgence.

The Birthcard today is the 10 of Clubs, a Solar expression of a Mars core and some flexibility to experience a Venus or Mercury core with a Jack of Spades inside and a 4 of Spades outside. 10Cs include
Phil Collins, Jack Abramoff, Paul Krugman, Steven Chu, Leonard Nimoy, Richard Dawkins, Erica Jong, Barbra Streisand, Joseph Campbell, and Shirley MacLaine.

Mar 25 2009 Moon Void of Course

We will be feeling Sun conjunct Venus for the next week or so, the upside is great for social times, the downside is indulgence. As they are sextile north node and trine south node, either may happen with relative ease. New loves may start under this transit, just make sure feasting is not a habit or you may end up with literally more than you bargained for. Moon is finishing up her stay at home away from home, Pisces; conjunct Uranus exact at 9:53 am PDT, at which time she goes Moon Void of Course till 10:03 pm PDT when she enters Aries. Moon will be conjunct Mercury exact at 11:37 pm PDT. A donut kind of day today: exciting start, not much in the middle, and a talkative ending.

The Birthcard today is the Jack of Clubs, a Uranus expression of a Venus core, with a Jack of Diamonds inside and a 10 of Hearts outside. JCs include
Rahm Emanuel, Ralph Nader, Oprah, Susie Bright, Howard Cosell, Jim Fixx, and Paula Abdul, whether they know it or not.
