Oct 31 2009

May your Samhain be colorful. Moon in Aries will be opposite Pallas this morning, and begin a sweep sextile the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio this evening. Any give and take will likely settle down by the evening. Sun is just pulling away from square Mars, so after any final acts of sudden annoyance, we may relax a bit. Except, Venus is within the orb of inconjunct the Juno/Uranus pair for the next week or so. Possible unresolved stuff in the realm of relationships that just won't quite, er, resolve. Let it be. Regardless, there is likely an underlying feeling, or reference of a stable Heart today, making it easier to let it be. The big event is Chiron, within the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio, is going direct. Lucid explanation at Pandora Astrology.

Today's Birthcard is the Four of Hearts, a Neptune implementation of a Mercury core, with a Four of Spades inside and a Ten of Spades outside. Jacques Chirac, Petra Kelley, Chiang Kai-Shek, Alex Grey, Johannes Kepler, Julie Dreyfus, Louis Pasteur, Joel Coen, Dan Rather, Diane Ladd, Howie Mandel, John Candy, Marlene Dietrich, and John Keats are various incarnations expressing through this Card whether they know/knew it or not.

Oct 30 2009

As Moon starts off the day Void of Course, it could be one of those "oh Gawd, is it Friday morning yet" kind of mornings. Moon enters Aries at 10:56 am PDT and will be opposite Saturn exact at 11:09 am PDT, square Pluto exact at 1:20 pm PDT, then trine Mars exact at 11:50 pm PDT. So, the extra coffee consumed to get the mojo going this morning will kick in doubly so around lunchtime. There may be a feeling of isolation, fleeting depression, down and out, as Moon lights up the Saturn/Pluto square, but don't panic: it will pass as the day passes. Better to let it pass than stir the restless Heart today. Will likely feel like picking up the pieces later in the evening, a good time for "getting it done" as Moon trines Mars.

Today's Birthcard is the Five of Hearts, a Saturn implementation of a Venus core, with a Four of Diamonds inside and a Five of Clubs outside. John Adams, Jon Stewart, Randy Newman, Anna Nicole Smith, Henry Wrinkler, Mao Tse Toung, Phil Spector, Grace Slick, Gary Hart, Charles Atlas, Gato Barbieri, William Blake, Frederich Engels, Steve Allen, John Scofield, and Kitty Dukakis are incarnational expressions of this Card.

Oct 29 2009

Moon in Pisces will be inconjunct Venus mid-day, conjunct Juno exact at 7:03 pm PDT, and conjunct Uranus exact at 9:56 pm PDT when she goes Moon Void of Course till late tomorrow morning. Possible intense emotions today, but with indecision or uncertainty about one or ones you may be attached to. Possibility of surprises today, best met with creativity, innovation. Usually good advice, particularly so now.

The Birthcard of the day is the Six of Hearts, a double Mars, with a a Four of Clubs inside and a Three of Diamonds outside. Various incarnations expressing this Card are Cab Calloway, Richard Dreyfuss, Winona Ryder, Rod Serling, Helena Christensen, Henry Winkler, Robin Givens, Bruce Lee, Sissy Spacek, Humphrey Bogart, Isaac Newton, Jimi Hendrix, Kate Jackson, Conrad Hilton, Noel Redding, Annie Lenox, and spectacular examples of the shadow side of this Archetype: Joseph Goebbels, Karl Rove.

Oct 28 2009

Moon, now in Pisces, her home away from home, was trine Mercury and sextile Pluto overnight. Remember any meaningful dreams? Moon will be inconjunct Mars this morning, and will be trine The Sun exact at 11:37 am PDT. Likely somewhat "easier", if uncertain feel in the air today. The Pluto T-square is still with us, but Venus is now sweeping trine the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio, and Mercury is sextile Pluto, so the deeper questions may be less WTF and actually becoming answers. However, Sun is square Mars, so wear your seatbelts. Be aware of a strong possibility of intensity, oopses, snippiness, annoyance over the next few days.

The Birthcard of the day is Seven of Hearts, a Venus expression of a Mercury core, with an Eight of Hearts inside and an Ace of Spades outside. Varied incarnations of this card include Julia Roberts, Randy Newman, Francis Bacon, Jonas Salk, Rich Little, Truman Capote, Tina Turner, Howard Hughes, Ava Gardner, Bill Gates, and rumor has it Erasmus.

Oct 27 2009

Moon in Aquarius will continue to sweep conjunct the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune, conjunct Chiron exact at 7:10 am PDT and exact Neptune exact at 12:11 pm PDT. Emotional focus on grandiouse ideals, healing our childhoods likely, but as Moon will also be inconjunct the south node, unfortunately many a great idea may not stick as expected or hoped. That's life. Venus is beginning a sweep trine of the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio over the next week or so. This is likely to offset some of the Pluto T-square which is still with us.

Note from the blogger: I should point out that my perspective may differ from the "norm" whatever that is, but I believe that any deterministic Archetypal Language, Astrology, Birthcards, Numerology, yada yada, does not describe the soul, rather they are peeks at the overlay that the soul expresses through. Thou art NOT that. The analogy is an old fashioned overhead projector. The lecturer places transparencies on, or writes with felt pen on the surface... and look at all the pretty images and text, information. We are not the structures, or the patterns, or the text, we are the light that shines through them.

Also, possibly another blasphemy: I believe that the reason Astrology and other Archetypal Languages work is because the majority of us (myself included) are still asleep to varying degrees. As we wake up, peel away each layer aha by aha, we start to see the scripts of the show...and some of us continue to delve deeper, ask questions, explore.

The Birthcard of the day is the emotionally powerful Eight of Hearts, a Neptune implementation of a Jupiter core, with a Seven of Spades inside and a Seven of Hearts outside. Various examples of expression of this Birthcard are Theodore Roosevelt, Susan Lucci, Robert Bly, JFK Jr, Richard Gere, Christina Applegate, Joe DiMaggio, Madeline Kahn, Itzhak Perlman, Harry Shearer, and the one and only John Cleese.

Oct 26 2009

Moon, now in Aquarius, will end the day with one of the nicest transits, trine Venus exact at 6:46 pm PDT. By 11ish in the pm, she will begin a sweep conjunct the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio which will last through mid day tomorrow. The theme of universal love may ring true today, although the hard patterns are still with us, there may be an almost aching longing for connection which can be best reached by letting go and "surrendering".

The Birthcard of today is the Nine of Hearts, a double Saturn with a "veiled" double Venus. Brigitte Bardot, Ed Sullivan, Warren Buffett, Gwyneth Paltrow, Bootsy Collins, Hillary Clinton, Dale Carnigie, Cameron Diaz, Ernest Rutherford, Mira Sorvino, Leon Trotsky, Lady Bird Johnson, Moon Zappa, Scott Joplin, and Seymour Cray are different examples of this incarnations expressing through this Birthcard.

Oct 25 2009 Moon First Quarter

Moon finishes up in Capricorn this morning trine Saturn and goes briefly Void of Course from 11:15 am PDT till 12:08 pm PDT when she "enters" Aquarius. Moon will be square Sun exact at 5:42 pm PDT and opposite Mars exact at 9:30 pm PDT. The Sun is still in the orb of sextile Pluto; likely a good morning for getting things done in the search for depth and meaning. Afternoon and evening may have a bit of an edge to them.

Today's Birthcard is the Ten of Hearts, a Jupiter implementation of a Mars core, with a Jack of Clubs inside and a Five of Spades outside. Jane Fonda, Frank Zappa, Harpo Marx, Pablo Picasso, Wesley Snipes, Dinah Washington, J. K. Rowling, Charlie Parker, Ingrid Bergman, Michael Jackson, and Phil Donahue are various examples of expression of this Card.

Oct 24 2009

The Sun is sextile Pluto, likely that deeper meanings actually mean something. Curiosity beyond the physical domain. Moon in Capricorn will be conjunct the north node, sextile Juno/Uranus and inconjunct Vesta late in the evening. Possible flavors correlated with that are good footing, grounding when talking about unconventional lifestyles to the family. However, the overall flavor may be a bit rigid and almost smothering, although with good intentions.

The Birthcard today is the Jack of Hearts, a Venus expression of a Jupiter core, a source card with the same inside and outside, all JH all the time. Ivan Pavlov, Charles De Gaulle, Lisa Kudrow, Ahnold the Governator, Henry Ford, Olivia Newton John, David Sanborn, T.S. Elliot, Terry Gilliam, Uri Geller, Kevin Kline, Jamie Lee Curtis, George Gershwin, and rumor has it, Goethe, are various expressions of this Card.

Oct 23 2009

Moon, now in Capricorn passed conjunct Pluto overnight, how were your dreams? Deeper meanings worthy of the analyst? Moon will be inconjunct Mars this morning and meanders to square Venus late in the evening. A bit of squidginess in the morning likely, but better (relatively speaking) as the day winds down. Sun in in the orb of square Mars, heading fo an exact over the weekend, do wear your seatbelts, try to channel the emotions and reactions creatively. Passion, liberation, repression, upheaval. Pay attention to the Goddess, usually good advice, but today in particular: what do Gaia, Sophia, Diana, Inanna have to say, and where might you listen to them?

The Birthcard today is the Queen of Hearts, a double Neptune with a Ten of Spades inside and a Nine of Clubs outside. Lyndon Johnson, Jennifer Beals, Goldie Hawn, Rene Magritte, Anita Roddick, Christopher Reeve, Edith Piaf, Barbara Walters, Johnny Carson, Will Smith, Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and rumor has it, Voltaire, all share this Birthcard.

Oct 22 2009

How were your dreams? Moon was sextile Mercury overnight, not necessarily dreamy in the usual sense, possibly talkative and chatty. Moon in Sagittarius is busy this morning: trine Vesta, sextile Chiron and Neptune, and square Juno and Uranus. Whatever the feelings are, they are not likely to be neutral. Later in the evening, Moon will be square Saturn and sextile The Sun around midnight; "entering" Capricorn as The Sun "enters" Scorpio. Possible sensations of aloneness in the evening, again, likely that any feelings or emotions are powerful today.

Today's Birthcard is the powerful King of Hearts, a Mars expression of a Mercury core, with a Two of Clubs inside, and a Nine of Spades outside. This is the Birthcard of Brad Pitt, Christina Aguilera, Joe Biden, Steven Spielberg, Betty Grable, Dick Smothers, Robert Byrd, Beatrix Potter, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Timothy Leary, Lee de Forest, Geraldine Ferraro, Jim Henson, Annette Funicello, Bobby Kennedy, Lena Horne, Stuart Wilde, Franz Liszt, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Linda Eastman McCartney, and rumor has it, Martin Luther.

Oct 21 2009

Moon in Sagittarius starts off the day sextile Venus exact at 5:11 am PDT, and begins a sweep sextile the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio in the middle of the night. Vesta, in the middle of a slow sweep opposite the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio, is opposite Chiron. Home and childhood issues may have a particular intensity. Vesta is also inconjunct or quincunx Uranus/Juno, possible uncertainty or surprises in relation to the home or tradition about relationships. Or uncertainty about what is uncertain. See prior post about Sun square Mars. Of course, the Pluto T-square is still with us. But this morning will likely be a pleasant reprive, beauty and warm fuzzies for all.

The Birthcard today is the Ace of Clubs, a Mercury expression of a Venus core, paired with the Two of Hearts. It is one of two pairs of Cards that trade places back and forth within each pair. Various incarnational expressions of this Card are Arthur Fiedler, Kenny Werner, Calvin Klein, Alfred Nobel, Jodie Foster, James Garfield, Sean Connery, Slim Pickens, Jack Welch, John Coltrane, Claudia Schiffer, Indira Gandhi, Ray Charles, Dick Cavett, Meg Ryan, and rumor has it Augustus Caesar. Ironically, the character played by Jodie Foster in the Movie "Contact", Ellie Harroway, had this same Birthcard (a different Birthday, but the same Birthcard). The Archetypes have their ways, it seems.

Oct 20 2009

Moon finishes up in Scorpio today, finishing her sweeps begun yesterday, and ending up sextile Saturn exact at 11:57 am PDT when she goes Moon Void of Course till 1:49 pm PDT. Then, she "enters" Sagittarius, and will be trine Mars exact at 5:52 pm PDT. Excluding the notch of missing mojo around west coast lunchtime, a somewhat mellower day than many in recent history. Partnerships will likely have center stage. Elsewhere in the sky, Mercury begins a sweep trine the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio over the next week, good news. And in the other corner, Sun is in the orb of square Mars over the next week or so. Ruh roh. Ego conflicts, brashness, sudden outbursts, minor accidents correlate with this one. Play safe, wear your seatbelts. Mars really needs a creative place to act out, or else.

The Birthcard today is the Two of Clubs, a Uranus implementation of a Saturn core, with an Ace of Spades inside and a King of Hearts outside. Aldous Huxley, Arthur C. Clarke, Mel Brooks, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Gilda Radner, Ashley Montagu, Tom Petty, Sandra Bullock, Aldous Huxley, Carl Jung, Alan Sheppard, Bela Lugosi, Margaret Mead, Stanley Kubrick, Wynonna Judd, Benny Goodman, Jane Austen, Mick Jagger, and Segolene Royal all share this Birthcard.

Monday, October 19, 2009

Oct 19 2009

Moon in Scorpio will begin a sweep square of the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio this afternoon through the middle of the night. Feel like writing, journaling today? As Mercury is away from Saturn and thus the Pluto T-square (till the next aspect in about a week) and Venus is pulling away from Saturn, it is likely that some boy/girl (or other permutations) worries may be settling down a bit, if not now, in the next few days. With Juno still conjunct Uranus and part of the Pluto T-square, long term relationships may be another story. Conversations along the themes of decisions, uncertainty; choice, faith are likely today---but with more resolution than the last week, as The Sun is pulling away from inconjunct/quincunx the Uranus/Juno conjunction. Additionally, Mars is finally pullling away from the south node; maybe a bit less wheel spinning in the near future.

The Birthcard today is the Three of Clubs, a Saturn implementation of a Mars core, with a Five of Diamonds inside and a King of Diamonds outside. Recognizable names of incarnations expressing through this Birthcard include Freeman Dyson, J. Paul Getty, Auguste Lumiere, Helen Keller, Rock Hudson, Bob Hope, John Adams, Howard Dean, JFK, Martin Scorsese, Gustav Holst, H. G. Wells, Bill Murray, and rumor has it, Nero.

Oct 18 2009

Moon enters Scorpio 7:23 am PDT and will be sextile Pluto and square Mars exact at 9:10 am PDT. The inconjunct, or quincunx between Pluto and Mars is also exact, with a possibility of WTF --- want to do something, but what? Possibly a bit of an edge, impatience, particularly with superficialities, a driving desire for real depth, not just the usual fluff passed off as "spirituality". Have you ever seen an atheist going around door to door on Sunday urging people to not go to Church, but rather to think for themselves? Ever wonder why the opposite is so common? Ever answered the door in robes, and offered for proselytizers to come to the dungeon and meet your master?

The Birthcard today is the Four of Clubs, a Mars expression of a Jupiter core, with a Five of Clubs inside and a Six of Hearts outside. Examples of this Birthcard include Spike Jones, Claude Debussy, Pearl Buck, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Pierre Trudeau, Amelia Earhart, Karl Gauss, Werner Von Braun, Sophia Loren, George C. Scott, Tori Amos, Ray Bradbury, Ian Flemming, John-David, Bella Abzug, Upton Sinclair, Thomas Moore, and rumor has it, Nostradamus.

Oct 17 2009 New Moon

Moon in Libra will be sweeping trine the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio and ends up inconjunct Uranus/Juno and, of course, conjunct the Sun for New Moon, exact at 10:33 pm PDT when she goes Moon Void of Course overnight. Better in the morning, with a possibility of squidgyness as the day moves on. Possibility of restlessness, curiosity of things, wanting to know.

The Birthcard of the day is the Five of Clubs, a Mercury expression of a Saturn core, with a Five of Hearts inside and a Four of Clubs outside. Hubert Humphrey, Rene Descartes, Rachel Carson, Andrew Carnegie, Cesar Chavez, George Orwell, Beverly D'Angelo, Rita Hayworth, Princess Margaret, Ziggy Marley, Twiggy, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Christopher Dodd, Herb Alpert, Petula Clark, Dick Van Dyke, Arthur Miller, Kim Cattrall, Evel Knievel, Wilt Chamberlain, Kenny Rogers, Al Gore, and rumor has it, Descartes, are incarnational examples of the 5C.

Oct 16 2009

Moon in Libra in search of balance starts off the day conjunct Venus and square Pluto, and finishes up the day conjunct Mercury. Even though Moon/Venus is one of the nicer transit around, Moon is really still lighting up the Pluto T-square, so be careful, be good to each other. Later in the day, Moon pulls away from the Pluto T-square, and conjunct Mercury, suggests a melding of intellect and feeling --- great for poetry, but lousy for clear lucid communication. The Sun is finishing it's sweep trine of the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune and is inconjunct Uranus/Juno, so we may be feeling good in spite of the upheavals , but still feel WTF about what to do.
Although it may be tempting to "force fit" rather than allow today, it would be good to take the higher, deeper path of intuition; rather than stick to the illusionary structure the familiar "law and order" or dogmatic mindset.

A repeat of some long term better news beyond the next year or so of upheaval associated with the Pluto/Saturn/Uranus T-square: after that we are into a similar set of transits to the Renaissance with an added twist. Beyond minstrels with funny clothes and an excuse to be bawdy there is a truly rare opportunity for the group or social consciousness to take the proverbial quantum leap. Hopefully not off a cliff, but spiritual awakening to borrow a cliche; or an expansion of awareness of the obvious that was previously occulted or ignored, or just not on the radar. By 2013, Saturn will be passing away from square Pluto and opposite Uranus, leaving Pluto square Uranus and sextile Neptune along with a passing Jupiter/Saturn/Uranus grand trine---the Renaissance transits. Pluto sextile Neptune correlates with deep, spiritual awakenings, Pluto square Uranus correlates with deep shift, innovation. The twist is that this time Chiron is close to Neptune, actually leading the way sextile Pluto. This would imply that lessons from woundings, traumas have a chance to be actually learned, integrated and even transcended. By 2014, Saturn will be inconjunct Uranus, but sextile Pluto, and trine Chiron, implying the possibility of the old "powers that be" having nothing to grip on to, while the upheaval/change/shift that has been brewing will have footing/grounding. After that, more stuff happens of course. By 2016, with Pluto still sextile Neptune, Saturn will be square Neptune, with a passing Jupiter opposite Neptune and Square Saturn, which would imply more taboos being revealed for what they are; a possibility of group empowerment through direct spiritual experiences. If we can hold it together, not a festering crooked broken system in the form of business as usual; but that which is truly of value in a higher expression of being Human: life, love, community, family---coherence and connections with constructive creative expression---then we are in for a good time, messy as it may seem when going through the birthing process into the seemingly unknown.

The Birthcard today is the Six of Clubs, a Neptune implementation of a Saturn core, with an Eight of Spades inside and a Two of Diamonds outside. Benjamon Harrison, James Monroe, Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Yanni, Condoleezza Rice, Aaron Copeland, John Wayne, Rose Kennedy, Tim Robbins, Ann-Margret, Ambrose Bierce, Connie Francis, Dionne Warwick, Jessica Alba, Lady Montagu, Ron Paul, Angela Lansbury, Greta Garbo, Hunter S. Thompson, Noah Webster, Norman Cousins, Warren Beatty, Frank Sinatra, and John Glenn are various incarnations expressing through this Birthcard.

Oct 15 2009

Our friend the Moon in Virgo is giving a kick to the Pluto T-square today and tomorrow. She sweeps inconjunct or quincunx the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio and ends up opposite Uranus and Juno around 4 in the afternoon PDT. Overnight she will be conjunct Saturn. Of note within the busy Pluto T-square, Venus will be exactly square Pluto today, so be good to those close to you. Possibility of feeling power struggles in the context of relationships. Such sensations will pass, as all transit based sensations, but they sure seem lifelike when happening. Possibility of feeling both upset and heavy, with a visit from the melancholy, but innovative genius.

Today's Birthcard is the Seven of Clubs, a Saturn implementation of a Uranus core, with an Eight of Diamonds inside and a Jack of Spades outside. Bill Clinton, Ulysses Grant, John Tyler, Eugene McCarthy, Oscar Wilde, Whoopi Goldberg, Orville Wright, Igor Sikorsky, Keith O. Johnson, Alfred Kinsey, Louis Berlioz, Friedrich Nietzsche, Sam Walton, Samuel Morse, Fiorello La Guardia, Ernest Hemingway, Cassandra Peterson (Elvira), Robert Louis Stevenson, Ogden Nash, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Anne Bancroft, and Robin Williams all share this Birthcard.

Oct 14 2009

So, it's always something, if it's not one Planet, it's another. Remind you of an old phrase? The seemingly relentless push of whatever it is, correlating with Archetypal patterns does not specifically provide coherence. What is there is the ebb and flow of push, neutral, repeat. We are in a time of more push than neutral. Unlike some other times, that's just the way it is. It is up to us to provide, create, find, resonate with the coherence; more so during times of perturbation than kick-back times.

The Sun is continuing to sweep trine the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio, which is a good thing; however The Sun is also inconjunct Uranus/Juno, which may point towards something like: Rebel without a Cause meets Runaway Bride. The tight collection of heavenly bodies, a box, some inconjuncts, and a T-square --- does continue to point to a continuation of intense experiences. Moon in Virgo was trine Pluto in the middle of the night, so there will likely be a residual of deep emotions in the morning. Themes of power, of and over knowledge may be in the air today.

The Birthcard today is the powerful Eight of Clubs, a Mars expression of a Neptune core, one of the three source cards that is the same inside as outside, WYSIWYG. Dwight Eisenhower, Larry Craig, Thomas Dolby, Priscilla Presley, Edmund Muskie, Carol Burnett, Edith Randall, Auguste Rodin, Edmund Hillary, Natalie Wood, Hank Paulson, Timothy Geithner, Austan Goolsbee, Simon Pierre Laplace, Eugène Delacroix, Lauren Bacall, Princess Grace, Roger Moore, John Audobon, Emily Dickenson, Bob Dylan, Gary Wright, Kris Kristofferson, Robert Redford, Meryl Streep, and rumor has it, Maxim Gorky are various incarnations expressing through this Birthcard.

Oct 13 2009

Moon finishes up in Leo today, starting out conjunct Vesta and sweeping opposite the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio, passing sextile The Sun along the way. The Moon goes Void of Course from 2:21 pm PDT till around midnight PDT. Mars, pulling away from the south node is still inconjunct Pluto, sextile Venus/Saturn and trine Uranus/Juno. Mars is also just pulling away from being the focal point of a YOD pattern, so things may be mellowing out a bit. Childhood, home, and stuff (as it is called) buried in memory of and associated with them may find the light of day. Be nice to your proverbial inner child. Possibly a bit of an artsy, sensual vibe likely in the air today, with the caveat that creativity spurred by pain is often quite beautiful, just not fun to be the expresser of such.

The Birthcard today is the 9 of Clubs, a Venus expression of a Saturn core with a Queen of Hearts inside and a 6 of Diamonds outside. 9Cs include William Howard Taft, Ken Wilber whether he likes it or not, Tony Robbins, George McGovern, Gloria Swanson, George Patton, Redd Foxx, Joan Collins, Vikki Carr, Albert King, Samuel Goldwyn, Zane Grey, Edward Murrow, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Lindz Lawlor, Valerie Innes, Mae West, Artie Shaw, Jonathan Winters, Jane Russell, Kirk Douglas, Kurt Vonnegut, Al Pacino, Quentin Tarantino, Guglielmo Marconi, Fyodor Dostoevsky, and Jean-Paul Sartre.

Oct 12 2009

Moon in Leo was sextile Mercury just before dawn today, and will be taking a breather for the rest of the day. The Pluto T-square is still there. The Sun is continuing it's sweep trine of the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio. Jupiter finishes retrograde and goes direct today, keeping the trio in place through the end of this year. Visually, the world chart is a still tight group of clusters, pointing towards intense, potentially polarized, mixed messages. Knowledge, in a talkative way is likely King (or Queen) today. Be aware of being too self assured however.

The Birthcard today is the 10 of Clubs, a Solar expression of a Mars core and some flexibility to experience a Venus or Mercury core with a Jack of Spades inside and a 4 of Spades outside. 10Cs include Franklin D. Roosevelt, Robert Frost, Phil Collins, Jack Abramoff, Paul Krugman, John Glenn, Linus Pauling, Steven Chu, Diego Rivera, Nelson Mandela, Dick Gregory, Ivan Pavlov, Leonard Nimoy, Flip Wilson, Eydie Gorme, Sammy Davis Jr. , Richard Dawkins, Red Skelton, Zero Mostel, Erica Jong, Diana Ross, Barbra Streisand, Joseph Campbell, Shirley MacLaine, Dick Cheney as a representative of the dark side of the force, and rumor has it, Martin Luther.

Oct 11 2009 Moon Last Quarter

Moon will be finishing up in Cancer giving a somewhat harmonious nudge to the Pluto T-square. Somewhat, in that Moon will be conjunct the south node and Mars later in the day. That transit alone would point towards temper, irritability, annoyance. However, Moon will also be trine Juno and Uranus, and sextile Venus and Saturn, correlating with a relaxing of polar opposites tugging at each other. Yet another mixed mode day, complex and intense, with a bit of relief. Likely creativity with flair, even and edge today. Moon goes Void of Course from 6:37 pm PDT till 10:02 pm PDT when she enters the constellation of Leo. Mwror. Moon will be inconjunct Pluto late in the evening, correlating with WTF kinds of sensations.

The Birthcard today is the Jack of Clubs, a Uranus expression of a Venus core, with a Jack of Diamonds inside and a 10 of Hearts outside. JCs include James Buchanan, William McKinley, Thomas Paine, Rahm Emanuel, Julia Child, Spiro Agnew, Walter Reed, Art Linkletter, Ralph Nader, John Steinbeck, Napoleon Bonaparte, Oprah, Susie Bright, Gloria Steinem, Eleanor Roosevelt, Max Planck, Rudolph Steiner, Sergei Prokofieff, Raymond Burr, Lou Gerhig, Howard Cosell, Jim Fixx, Phyllis Diller, Fats Waller, Guy Lombardo, Mel Torme, Aretha Franklin, Shirley Temple, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and Paula Abdul, whether they know it or not.

Oct 10 2009

Moon at home in the constellation of Cancer will be taking a breather today. The Sun is sextile Vesta, and begins it's sweep trine of the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio over the next week or so. The much ballyhooed and even abused term of intuition is appropriate today, female intuition and knowledge play a role on center stage. Some pressure relief from the Pluto T-square (see prior posts) is likely with the tradeoff of some emotional turmoil; but beneath the turmoil is knowledge.

The Birthcard today is the Queen of Clubs, a Mercury expression of a Mars core, with a 3 of Hearts inside and a 10 of Diamonds outside. QCs include Michael Bolton, Ira Gershwin, Andrew Mellon, Robert Novak, Nikolai Lenin, H. L. Mencken, Immanual Kant, Arthur Laffer, Jack Nicholson, Jesse Owens, Will Ferrell, Ginger Rogers, Dave Brubeck, James Stewart, Aaron Spelling, Cher, Nicolas Sarkozy, Charles Mingus, Jonhhy Cash, Jackie Gleason, Alan Alda, Paul McCartney, and rumor has it, Socrates.

Oct 9 2009

Physically, it may or may not be considered significant that the Moon was just bombed under the guise of science as part of the militarization of space. As everything is connected intimately even subtle shifts in the dynamics can be quite significant over time. It is the opinion of this blog that such a move was boneheaded.

How were your dreams last night? Moon in Gemini will be giving a kick to the Pluto T-square of upheaval, which is in itself morphing a bit, as Mercury moves away from Saturn, and Venus moves closer to Saturn. Lots of speed bumps today. Intense and complex again. Flaring passions, WTF questions. Innovation or upsets. Finishing up the trine sweep of Chiron and Neptune, Moon will be sweeping square Venus, Uranus, Juno, Saturn, and Mercury, going for a brief Moon Void of Course from 6:35 pm PDT till 6:48 pm PDT. Then, Moon enters Cancer, her home constellation, and will be opposite Pluto, which in and of itself would point towards deep erupting emotions. With the T-square, more so, extra servings of everything.

The Birthcard today is the King of Clubs, a double Uranus with a 2 of Spades inside and an 8 of Spades outside. KCs include Keith Olbermann, Martin Van Buren, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Leon Trotsky, John Lennon, George Harrison, Marie Curie, Chaka Khan, John Muir, Erich Fromm, Pierre Simon Laplace, Hedy Lamarr, Ric Ocasek, Walt Disney, Barry Manilow, Arianna Huffington, Enrico Caruso, Alfred Hitchcock, Queen Elizabeth the Second, Gary Stadler, Igor Stravinsky, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Jesse Ventura, General Custer, Billy Graham, James "J Bob Dobbs" Dobson, and rumor has it, Rembrandt.

Oct 8 2009

One of these days, the prognosis will not be one of mixed messages. This is not one of those days. On the downside, Venus/Saturn/Mercury are opposite Uranus/Juno and inconjunct the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio. On the upside, the north/south node axis is trine/sextile the Venus/Saturn/Mercury opposite Uranus/Juno axis. On the downside, Vesta is opposite the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio. On the upside, Mars is sextile Saturn/Mercury, and trine Uranus/Juno. What this all means is there is a lot going on, intensely. Just like life, only more so than usual.

Really though, today will likely be more pleasant than such intensities and complexities might indicate, as Moon in Gemini will be forming a grand Kite with Sun, Jupiter, and Vesta. A grand trine with Moon, Sun, and Jupiter is one of the best patterns one could enjoy; and with the addition of Vesta at the apex of the kite (sextile Moon and The Sun), things may feel very good. There may be a tendency to think that this good feeling is all about you, or there just for you; it is for and about everyone and everything.

The Birthcard today is the Ace of Diamonds, a Jupiter expression of a Neptune core, with a 2 of Diamonds inside and an Ace of Hearts outside. ADs include Marcel Marceau, George Soros, Angela Davis, Ray Conniff, Alice A. Bailey, Helena Blavatsky, Paul Hogan, Lionel Hampton, Cecil B. DeMille, Sigourney Weaver, Paul Newman, Ellen DeGeneres, Arnold Palmer, Steve Jobs, Maria Shriver, John Phillip Sousa, William Shatner, Ingmar Bergman, Bertrand Russell, Eddie Rickenbacker, Karl Malden, Chevy Chase, Dennis Kucinich, Francisco Franco, Juan Peron, Gerald R. Ford, and rumor has it, Marcus Antonius.

Oct 7 2009

Moon finished up the sweep square of the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio in the middle of the night, any strange dreams relating to childhood? Mercury is passing exact conjunct Saturn today, pointing towards sharp intellect, but isolation, poor communication. Fortunately for the first part of the day at least, Moon finishing up in Taurus is providing a nice mini grand trine, midpoint between the Uranus/Juno and Mars trine. Moon is also trine Saturn/Mercury, exact at 10:19 am PDT. And, Moon is trine/sextile the north/south node axis, so there is a chance of footing, feeling in place. Even the Moon Void of Course from 10:19 am PDT till 2:46 pm PDT will probably not have quite the low mojo blahs as usual. However (don't you love that word) Moon will be inconjunct Pluto this afternoon, potentially upsetting, or at least pulling the carpet out from the the earlier footing. Regardless --- in contrast to the feeling of isolation, or perhaps compensating for it, today partnerships, relations, cohorts may be at center stage.

The Birthcard for today is the 2 of Diamonds, a Mars expression of a Saturn core with a 6 of Clubs inside and an Ace of Diamonds outside. 2Ds include Vandana Shiva, Corazon Aquino, Viktor Yushchenko, Jose Silva, Benjamin Disraeli, Anna Freud, Modest Mussorgsky, Rosie O'Donnell, Art Garfunkel, Harrison Ford, Peter Fonda, Jayne Mansfield, Mike Douglas, Dudley Moore, Taj Mahal, Johannes Gutenberg, Jean Fourier, Leo Tolstoy, Neils Bohr, Ole Evinrude, Trent Reznor, Andy Williams, and Howard Jones.

Oct 6 2009

Moon in Taurus will be inconjunct The Sun this morning, then begin a sweep square of the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio in the afternoon, ending in the wee hours of the night, and begin a sweep trine of Venus/Mercury/Saturn in the evening ending tomorrow morning. Restless, driven, philosophical, activism --- all possible flavors of the day, probably feeling better as the day wears on. The last few postss have been a bit loquacious, so this one shall be short and sweet.

The Birthcard today is the 3 of Diamonds, a Mercury expression of a Uranus core, with a 6 of Hearts inside and a Queen of Diamonds outside. 3Ds include George Washington, Herbert Hoover, John Belushi, Sid Caesar, Milton Berle, Peter Sellers, Carl Reiner, Henry Fonda, Cheryl Ladd, Neil Diamond, Liberace, Andrew Wyeth, Oral (!) Moon in starts off the day Void of Course, then enters Taurus at 9:33 am PDT, just in time for an late east coast power lunch. As is with Moon VOC, consuming extra caffeine to compensate for the lack of mojo does not always work, and often lends to an extra kick when Moon moves past VOC. Nothing, then whammy. Moon will be trine Pluto exact at 11 am PDT. Expect depth, deep feelings, deeper meanings. Remember any dreams from last night? Along with the usual suspects, or heavely bodies, in multiple tight clusters (see prior posts) --- Venus is moving into the orb of conjunct Mercury/Saturn and opposite Uranus/Juno. In other words, Venus is joining the fray of the Pluto T-square of upheaval. Venus/Mercury/Saturn as a trio themselves would likely be some kind of restriction on beauty or expression, but with the rest of the T-square joining in, there is potential for interpersonal intensity, as Venus is quite outnumbered in this case. Today is a particularly good day to have a stable look at who and what we love; and plan on sticking it out through the storm.

The Birthcard today is the 4 of Diamonds, a Neptune expression of a Venus core, with a 5 of Spades inside and a 5 of Hearts outside. 4D incarnations include Antonio Villaraigosa, John Hancock, Chester Arthur, John Quincy Adams, Jake Steinfeld, David Geffen, Pierre Currie, Nikita Khrushchev, Connie Stevens, Richard Tarnas, Ornette Coleman, J. P. Morgan Jr. , Vincenzo Bellini, Brian Eno, Woody Allen, Charles Bronson, John Wanamaker, Ursula Andress, Sybil Leek, William Butler Yeats, James Clerk Maxwell, and rumor has it, Avogadro.

Oct 4 2009

Moon in Aries starts off the day trine Vesta and inconjunct Venus. This may correlate with an odd mix of harmony, good feelings about home, but just not sure what is up with the partner. Then Moon sweeps sextile the Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune trio while sweeping inconjunct Mercury and Saturn. Possible sensations of going it alone and unsure how to articulate or express; restlessness. Possibly a bit annoyed, as Moon will also be square Mars late in the evening. Possible deeper meanings to dreams tonight, as Moon is approaching trine Pluto for tomorrow.

Imagine a world reaching the critical mass of awakened humanity:
It is worth repeating that one reason Astrology and other deterministic Archetypal Languages "work", or to put it another way, the experiences of psyche correlate with what is largely unseen, is because the critical mass of humanity is still unconscious, following the dynamics of the Cosmos (physically and non-physically) much as collections of unconscious (relatively speaking) particles follow the laws of mechanics or Physics, PV equals nRT. We get to wake up.

T
he Birthcard today is the 5 of Diamonds, a Saturn implementation of a Neptune core, with a 9 of Diamonds inside and a 3 of Clubs outside. 5D incarnations include

Oct 3 2009 Full Harvest Moon

Happy German Unity Day. Moon in Aries will be Full today, exact at 11:10 pm PDT. Likely a bit of residual Moon/Pluto feelings and sensations this morning, morphing towards responsibility in values as Moon pulls away from emphasizing the Pluto T-square of upheaval. Traditionally Harvest Moon is when we reap what we have sown and grown. Today is the final, last residual stiction day of Mercury Retrograde, so do exercise caution over throwing caution to the wind. Try that tomorrow, even with the lore of Full Moon tugging at your inhibitions.

The Birthcard today is the 6 of Diamonds, a Jupiter expression of a Mercury core, with a 9 of Clubs inside and a 3 of Spades outside. 6Ds include Geena Davis, Paul Allen, Willow Buckley, Christian Dior, Richard Strauss, Carrie Prejean, Courtney Love, Seal, Arthur Koestler, Emma Watson, Gore Vidal, Rudolf Nureyev, Nat King Cole, Cindy Crawford, Bob Newhart, Mata Hari, Stevie Wonder, Werner Erhard, Jeanette Rankin, Tom Hanks, Thomas Wolfe, Raquel Welch, Freddie Mercury, and rumor has it Copernicus.

Oct 2 2009

Moon in Pisces will be giving a kick to the Pluto T-square of upheaval (see prior posts for details), but as she is sextile/trine the north/south node axis, it likely as much a harmonious nudge as a full kick, at least till later in the evening. Moon will sweep opposite Mercury, trine Mars, conjunct Uranus/Juno, opposite Saturn, then opposite Pallas in the middle of the night. Then a brief Moon Void of course and Moon will emerge in Aries, square Pluto 4ish Saturday morning. This is the Moon/Pluto after a Moon Void of Course phenomena mentioned last week on the 26th: if one has any planets towards the end of any constellation, say 25 degrees to 29 degrees, one may feel a strange, hard to describe "offness" (during the Void of Course) followed by classic Moon/Pluto sensations: small, insignificant/insecure, doubting, eruptive, emotional. Some weather conditions, eh? But that is how it looks, and it is hoped it will be better to know and be prepared rather than have a series of WTF experiences with no context in which to explore them. Again, it is up to us to find and/or create the coherence, the Light, the upper path. If things seem wierd or even weird, it's not just you. Just hang tight loosely.

In the physical realm, there is a disturbance in the form of increased gamma radiation as a result of less, actually no sunspots this cycle.
This tends to muck up the weather, inversions and the like, and make a spotlight for Oscar the grouch.

The Birthcard of the day is the 7 of Diamonds, a double Venus with a "veiled" double Saturn inside and outside. 7D incarnations include George Carlin, John D. Rockefeller, Yogi Berra, Nelson A. Rockefeller, Matt Dillon, Yoko Ono, Beyonce, Mohandas Gandhi, Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, Charles Schwab, Federico Fellini, Graucho Marx, Megan Fox, Pat Nixon, Lucille Ball, Amber Lee Ettinger, Farley Mowat, Henny Youngman, Jerry Lewis, Julie Christie, Paul Begala, Judy Garland, F. Lee Bailey, James Madison, Rex Reed, George Burns, and Rumor has it, Paganini.

Oct 1 2009

Moon in Pisces starts out the day inconjunct The Sun, then meanders over to opposite Venus and inconjunct Vesta, exact at 8:08 pm PDT. See yesterday's post about the other heavenly bodies. Another colorful description of the current clusters would be ping pong, what the pattern looks like, and possibly how events are playing out, back and forth. So besides the usual somewhat heavy stuff interspersed with opportunities, today may well have a bit of the "look at me" vibe in the air, starting out with the ego a bit unsure and possibly overcompensating, then at least resolving some of the dilemma later in the day. Feelings and/or perception of beauty in the evening, with or without traditional/family approval. Beware of materialism however, shiny things more often distract from than enhance the deeper feelings.

Semantics and nomenclature: the language is full of implications that may or may not be true, such as "influences", and this blog is not innocent of such slips of the tongue. Really, the heavenly bodies probably have no more influence on Earthly affairs than a clock on the wall (or on one's wrist) influences the flow of time. More likely, they correlate with such events. It is quite likely we live in a synchronistic Universe. It is possible that the belief in cause/effect is an artifact, or illusion of limited perspective. Stick around, let's find out. So, no matter what wording is used, the intent here is to imply correlation between events, with the patterns in the sky being a grand mirror to our experience, hopefully illuminating the interconnectedness of all things.

The Birthcard today is the 8 of Diamonds, a crown card with a Jupiter core, with a Queen of Spades inside and a 7 of Clubs outside. 8Ds include Salvador Dali, Jimmy Carter, Neil Armstrong, Marc Chagall, Vladimir Horowitz, Paris Hilton, Arne Lein, Edgar Allan Poe, Dolly Parton, Fabio Lanzoni, Al Green, Sly Stone, Julie Andrews, Ringo Starr, Thomas Jefferson, Janis Joplin, Robert Heinlein, James Brown, Gustav Mahler, Cole Porter, Walter Matthau, Martha Quinn, Jim Jeffords, and Andrew Jackson, and rumor has it Peter the Great.
