October 4, 2008 Moon in the middle

The day starts off with Moon in Sagittarius sextile Sun around 7 this morning. This transit is a nice balance between thoughts and feelings - good for decisions. Sun is in Libra, a sign of harmony, relationships, and beauty. By afternoon/evening the Moon will be squaring both Saturn in Virgo and Uranus in Pisces. At the same time, Moon will be midpoint to and sextile to both Mercury and Chiron, providing an opportunity for compassionate communication. The slower transit, Uranus opposing Saturn, has to do with changes to old patterns and structures. Moon transiting Uranus/Saturn can bring out feelings of being alone in this process and changes that feel upsetting and unexpected. In contrast, Mercury/Chiron adds the opportunity to reach out to others.

Venus is sextile Saturn and trine Uranus and sextile Jupiter. Venus/Saturn - seriously considering your relationships, time to discuss expectations, conscious understandings. On the other side of things Venus/Uranus - attractions for experiences out of the ordinary - people, places, the arts. Venus/Jupiter - feeling of benevolence towards others, getting together with friends.

Sun square Jupiter (in Capricorn) and conjunct retrograde Mercury (Libra) - Sun/Jupiter - Jupiter may make you take on more than you can really do. Be aware of what you agree to. Mercury can normally help with the details of tasks yet in retrograde extra attention will be needed.

The Birthcard of today is the Five of Diamonds, a Jupiter implementation of a Neptune core. The mythology of Obatala may be of insight today.
